Amount of water going over the rim seems about the same all the time. Where does that water flow too ?

With a drain like this one, you have to keep stuff away from the rim. Any kind of build up will slow the flow, and give beavers a foundation to build up a damn. By removing the mud and debris from around it, they can't begin a damn.

1. the lake was not lowered three feet. 2. there are no beavers in this populated area. 3. that type of water level control is the most resistant to clogging. 4. it wasn't clogged.@@lynnduncan6139
