Jill Wiseman Designs

Jill Wiseman Designs

My goal is to bring you great new designs, and to make beading easy and fun. I have tutorials and patterns appropriate for both beginning beaders who are looking to dip their toes in for the first time, and expert beaders who are on the look out for the next amazing design.

I became a full-time beadweaving jewelry designer and teacher in 2004, and have had the pleasure of teaching bead weaving and kumihimo classes all over the world. My home is in Austin, Texas, with my mother (June), and doggo, Poppy.

I have a robust online webstore where my team and I sell beads, findings, tools, kits, and anything else you need to make jewelry. Come check it out at jillwisemandesigns.com! I've also started doing weekly LIVE sales which you can find at jwdlive.com

I am also the author of Jill Wiseman's Beautiful Beaded Ropes, a book released by Lark Publishing in 2012, and was proud to be selected as one of Beadwork Magazine's Designers of the Year for 2013.

I love watching this video. Too much to comment on but I loved when Jill called Sam " one of those people" meanwhile the earring with the needle still attached. If I wasn't a fan before I definitely would have been after. Hope the trip was worth it

Its been since pre pandemic that I've beaded. I wanted to do a chenille and watched a couple of other videos and stopped and said "Where's Jill. I need Jill." Found the original video you taught me 7 years ago and now you just taught me again. I hope y'all survived the pandemic well. Yall were certainly set up for virtual. Thanks! (Lordy, 7 years ago and I was the last one to post back then. Weird.) Seven years???? Wow.

I just now saw this video 10 years after the fact lol! I have only been bead weaving for about 3 years & learning new things all the time. I tried doing the technique where you go under the thread bridge in order to add that extra bead. It's so simple but when I got done my bracelet curved. I thought I was putting to much tension on the side where I was going under the thread bridge. I tried making another bracket paying special attention when working that bead in yet I still had a curved piece instead of it being straight. What can I do about that & what am I doing wrong?

This would look better using macrame instead of the seed beads, it does not look polished and takes away from the pearl's beauty.

Hi Jill! Is there a book or website you can suggest that show smallish, flat designs that could be used as pins or broaches? I specifically want to make needle minders for cross-stitching, where you attach it to the cloth like a magnetic name tag.
