This has been my favorite reaction to Almost Famous I’ve seen on YT. You just get it man. It’s a love letter to music and a music lover’s journey begins usually in youth. The music that gets you through it all which makes this coming of age film centered on music that much more poignant to me. It’s weird, I saw this one maybe in 8th or 9th grade but I’ll never forget how inspiring and nostalgic it felt all at the same time. So much is not defined here, we don’t know if the relationships will last or what certain moments meant but you feel it and how fleeting it is. Just a beautiful collection of moments with amazing music. Definitely subscribed after this watch, keep it up man 💛

It's funny that despite hating the casual punitive attitude of the prosecutor I still for some reason find her so likeable. Like she doesn't seem genuinely evil, just complicit in a system that she seems unfortunately great in. And you can tell that she has respect for Kim even though she thinks the case is trivial, hence why she makes comments to her. Like why are you putting all of your talents to use on this case? Idk, every actor on this show brings so much heat that even the antagonists are easy to empathize with in their own ways

I volunteer at a homeless shelter. A couple weeks back a dude rolled up on his wheelchair and he had a fancy new prosthetic foot. We'd been chatting every day for weeks. I knew he was due to get a new foot but I forgot the actual day. (A shockingly large amount of homeless folks are amputees.) The very first words out of my mouth when seeing him unprepared with a prosthetic were "Lieutenant Dan, you have new legs!" It just popped out. Unplanned. Organic. I turned around and there he was. His name is Justin. He was fine with my verbal diarrhea. Sorry, man!

Yup, Kim is as bad as Saul, maybe worse. Credit to the actress for hiding it, making people not see it. Also, year and 1/2 for felonious assault on a cop ain't a bad deal.

One of my favorite details: When Jimmy is trying to shoot the commercial to sell his ad space, the make-up girl tries to do the lines but doesn't do a good job. In this episode, she mentions that she's been taking acting lessons and does a great job on the phone. It shows how the writers are able to give character growth to even the most minor characters.

Of all of Jimmy's scams, getting Huell out of jail is my favorite, and it's funny as hell! Yes, another crazy Salamanca has entered the picture. Boy oh, boy... OH BOY! Lalo is not Nemo, but Jaws and Shamu wrapped into one. Thanks for another great reaction. It's the highlight of my Tuesdays!

Of course you realize that the actor that jumped across the hood and chased by the mob to his death was the protagonist of the 1950s Invasion of the Body Snatchers. There were a lot of character actors here... Tom Skerrit (Captain Dallas from Alien) played a big role...Leonard Nimoy (Captain/Ambassador Spock) was a leading character. The Inimitable Veronica Cartwright also the best crier ever as Lt. Lambert also on Alien. Were all perfect for these roles. The two plants taking over the homeless man and his dog; one of the plants was damaged by Donald Sutherland so the other plant merged the dog and the homeless man. In the KZread version Donald Sutherland clocking the old lady was left out. A pivotal scene.

I heard this movie described somewhere as a "Marxist, Feminist Story, and I can see it. It is very clear that women are not values as much more than animals when Skinny makes the comment about the woman who was cut up: "She's damaged property. It's no better than if someone cut up the heal of one of these horses." This film excoriates violence, like when Sheriff "Little" Bill Dagget says, talking about gunfighters: They've got no sand, no character, not even bad character." The violent scenes in this movie are traumatic. The viewer doesn't get the warm and cuddly feeling of seeing John Wayne beat up a bad guy in the violent scenes. The viewer wants to look away. There is no sign of celebration after the two cowboys are killed. The atmosphere is sober, despondent.

James, I'm so glad to hear you talk about Kim in such a way as "if they kill her in this show, I'm going to go out the window," because that's EXACTLY how I felt when I watched this show... one show each week on AMC... having to wait between seasons... it was BRUTAL! I still can't believe Rhea was never acknowledged from the Emmys; her character was one of the greatest.
