I have the 2019 with the manual transmission. A few weeks after I bought it they quit offering the manual as demand was down to about 2%. The total truck has been good. People who got the base auto trans had problems with shuddering, bad shifts, and torque converters going bad. Manual transmissions almost always outlive the rest of the vehicle while automatics usually have problems.
@user-yo1pk4ky4k6 күн бұрын
One small thing that would help, and maybe you did this, is to get the transmission up to operating temperature before you drain it. That way any sediment or other cooties would be in suspension and drain out with the oil.

I have a similar truck with an automatic. It’s a 2016. I have had several problems. At about 25,000 miles, the heater core failed. It spent 2 months with the dealer as they had to replace carpets. Then at 65,000 miles, the oil pump failed. After several trips to the dealer, they replaced that pump. That cost was around $7,000. Other than that, I have enjoyed the truck. I have 76,000 miles after 7 years of owner ship. I figure at 100,000 miles, I will replace plugs and coil packs. Brakes are still in great shape. I don't think this would work for a stuck drum, I don't see how you are generating any outward force by tightening the nut. This is effectively the same approach as putting the tire back on and tightening the nuts, but you can kick the tire and you can't kick/pull on your scrap metal piece right?
@DoingDaveStuffАй бұрын
The effectiveness of kicking the tire isn’t good since it applying force to just one side. Plus it’s potentially more dangerous. Using the slide hammer puts equal force to the axle which allows it to come out easier.
