    Can you tell me which of the two white plugs in the BCM you tapped into? I have a 2016 Silverado 1500 - have the switch the wire harness, but trying to get the hook up to work. I have two white plugs in the BCM: one right next to the brown plug (which already has OEM wire in slot #12) and another on the end of the BCM, closest to the brake pedal (and slot #12 is open on this one). Just trying to verify for sure which plug I need to try and tap into.

    Thank you sir KZread for another win baby Same problem, my rock fell off when I took the tire off and was laying on the inside of the tire. Luckily I took the tire off and layed It against my basketball hoop. After checking in between the rotor and plate I didn’t see anything. Checked the inside of tire and there it was.

    Good video. I just change the fuel filter in our 2022 CV515 and there's a few things different. The bleeder screw is on the bottom of the housing and you need a T30 torx head to open it. A little bit of fuel comes out, maybe 1/8 cup. Then to remove the housing that contains the filter, I needed a 1-7/16" socket. In metric that's about 36mm. My socket was 12 pt and a little bit loose, so maybe a 35mm socket would be better. Certianly 6pt is preferred. Once the housing was cracked open a couple of turns, a lot more fuel comes out of the bleeder screw. When it slowed to a very little trickle, I closed it and then removed the housing that contained the filter. A lot more fuel was sitting in there. A cup full would be my guess. The replacement filter I picked up from the International dealer, it contained the large o-ring and a small o-ring. The large one was for the housing. The small one is for the post that extends down into the filter. I also took off the bleeder screw to check for presence of an o-ring and there is a one there, but its more like a flat washer than an o-ring. That did not come with the filter so I left the original in place. With it all tightened up, I followed the remainder of your tips. Two cycles of the key for 30 secs each. I could hear the fuel filling up... and I'm 3/4 deaf. 🙂 Started the truck and it ran just fine. I then navigated to the fuel filter life monitor in the DIC using the buttons on the steering wheel (different that yours). I held down the the centre button (check mark) until the dash beeped. The Oil filter reading doesn't change, but when I shut off the truck and started it again, the fuel filter reads at 100%. 👍👍

    Just completed this yesterday. Excellent detailed instructions! I’m not getting any power to the steering wheel controls or horn. All the connections are tight and the heated wheel fuse is good. Would you suspect a faulty clock spring?

  • @kevefox
    @kevefox2 ай бұрын

    Yes, that sounds like the likely suspect. The ribbon inside can break easily and if it was put back in the box and returned before you got it that sounds like a pretty easy scenario.

    You know…the wrecker was not in the correct position at all for the winch out. Put the rear of the truck more perpendicular to the casualty, either hook one line to each wheel and shimmy it up, or one line to the rear so the truck will turn rear first towards you and you’re not fighting 4 tires side ways digging in.

    I just heard about this today because my brand new UVCH harness threw a P1316 code. I removed the driver’s side and discovered there was zero continuity between the common (small center pin for those that may not know) and any of the 4 common injector connections (black wire side of each injector plug). Turns out the harness I bought from Full Force Diesel (not a hit on them at all) needed to be tweaked / bent down to make contact (0.001 ohms now). I read about this quarter trick on a powerstroke forum and am going to do it just as a safety measure because I cannot afford to have my daily driver go down for something that can be prevented for just $0.50 (both sides).
