The hot take here tho is, even if you maxed out the cover screen display size to basically the whole of the cover screen, UI-wise it won't really be maximized to any extent especially since your already-chunky fingers are gonna bump against the camera lenses on the regular, EVEN when the specs were exactly like the Flip 5. The rest of the features like the hinge, the inner screen, the battery are no-brainer updates that is pretty much expected out of any flip phone maker (because why wouldn't you mame a better hinge, a better inner screen, or better battery), so even in that Motorola might not have a real long-lasting edge. Honestly it could try introducing an ear jack to save people from losing their ear buds to a random gutter and that could be significant.
Poco F6 pro using 8 gen 2 which is much stable and better performance.
SE Gen 1 owner here, I was really shocked when finding out it wasn’t getting the update. Feels nearly criminal that a device thats works great and fully capable of running the software loses software support for what seems to be no apparent reason aside from an attempt to drum up sales from replacement devices. Apple sure likes to advertise how focused they are on improving their environmental impact but certainly don’t advertise the ewaste they generate with these devices they stop supporting.
The poco x6 pro is just better , you pay at least 200 dollars more for the f6 pro and honestly the upgrades in the f6 pro are not worth it If you really have enough money and ur fine with it go with the f6 pro but if you value saving money or have a budget i very much recommend the x6 pro its just better value for Money and you don't lose much going with it

Nice review👍. I was very surprised at how excellent the photos of flowers looked, far beyond the budget price in my opinion, other photos looked all good too. I love the design and all nice different colours, my favourite is orange and next light green.

Nothing is a strange company with some very strange ideas about what makes tech interesting. Flashing lights on a midrange phone that only work if you place it face down meaning you have to turn it over to find out what your notification was. Now a phone that needs a screwdriver to remove the back instead of just unclipping it like you could with older phones. They are solving problems that never existed.
I didn’t even know that Sony ever made a phone😂
I think other companies should use this feature

Except if Samsung can improve the Anti reflective coating on their next line up, the one on this basically affected the display. And I don't think reflections coating should be a big deal because you only notice it more when the screen is off and in that case you're not using it. Otherwise as long as screens are brighter, no phone will reflect that much. Another area Samsung didn't do well is most of the AI integrations that we need most are imbedded in their native Samsung's apps, something most users will not use

I changed from S23 ultra to Xperia 1 V last year after my Samsung stopped charging. And it's light years better. Screen better, speakers better, premium feel is better with Sony. And no disrespect to you making this video, but my wife has the ultra and we just got back from Bermuda and my Sony phone took better pictures pretty much in every situation. The camera is not as hard to master as everyone says. I basically keep it on P or program mode most of the time and it's just as good with points and shoot as my wife's Samsung. And unlike Samsungs zoom which is all digital and produced with AI, Sony's phone has a real zoom. The only advantage to the Samsung is the software is a little more polished and smooth. Not surprising though because my Sony TV destroys my wife's Samsung as well. I mean it's not even close. Sony is quality and Samsung is quantity.
A good review however the music in the background is distracting.

I used the pixel 8 pro and OnePlus 12 and the iPhone 15 pro max The 24 ultra is the phone to beat and as you say it does everything very very well
I expected your review to inform us about the audio performance using wired headphones.
I have an S21+ that I really want to upgrade to the Flip so I'm waiting for the official announcement. Hopefully it has good specs and trade in offers, otherwise will go for the S24+ or U.
Sony any day. Think you didn't get Sony the prober credit for the picture quality. The camera app is easy to use, and has got many features as well. Auto is very high quality, and better than the artificial looks og Samsung, but the pro mode of Sony takes the win any day...
I love my Flip5 but I'm not happy with the camera. When I go to events and want to take pictures and record with zoom I always switch back to my S21 Ultra I had before the Flip. But I think I'll wait for the flip7 this time

The xperia photos are far better for a natural look but,that zoom lens again is utter crap for the money,its not as if Sony dosent have the camera expertise because they have but, Sony seem reluctant to do it all at one go?
A 1.5k screen (yes it's the minimum today, and above all, Samsung was criticized for years for its S+ which were "just FHD"), 4 years minimum of Android update (but the smartphone must be released in February at the latest, not 2-3 months before the new Android version and especially the new Snapdragon) because there, it's no longer even 3 years of updating but 2 years in real life, a 1" main sensor, better video stabilization, keeping its niche features (Pro Camera, colorimetry, headphone jack, SD card) by adding mainstream features (better HDR, better photo night mode good auto camera like on iPhones, Galaxy and other smartphones), a "really" good telescopic zoom, and above all a price of $1000- $1100 max, there, Sony will be able to get back into the game. 🙏🏽
