I want to know how does the music sound with this new speaker setup as compared to the previous unusual front-facing speakers. Can you tell me that, please? Thanks.

I agree this is a massive downgrade , no dac or front facing speakers , I was considering this now red magic 9 is a no brainer

Idk man. I'm still debating between the Rog 8 pro and RM 9 pro and I'm still leaning towards Rog abit. Red Magics software is just sooooooo ass cheeks. Performance will be the deciding factor and I haven't been fully impressed with the RM 9 pro. Specifically the optimization.

@@Over-mh3wr agreed the software is not as good but getting better , but is 400-700USD more worth it , red magic 9 pro 799USD , ROG 8 1199 for same specs , pro is a whopping 1499.99USD , it's all out crazy

The biggest joke is that the guy who presented the phone said that the feedback ASUS got from their ROG phone 5/6/7 user communities was to have better cameras and water resistance. That was so clearly a lie. No real gamer in this world would ever complain about the camera on a gaming phone.

False. I also wanted better cameras. If they didn't improve it i was planning on picking up a Samsung s24 instead.

I'm not going to walk around with a 2nd phone just to take better pictures. You can be a gamer and also touch grass, I love being able to take high quality photos outside, of me, my girlfriends, and friends, and the quality of the previous cameras has simply not been satisfactory. Rog Phone 8 Pro is the most appealing edition yet.

​​@@MineJulRBX as someone who has a mother with a cannon camera I have to say that just having a better camera does not equate to better looking pictures photo composition does my mother takes photos on an older iPhone and gets complemented constantly on how good they look a better camera will only do so much and the rog phones had decent enough cameras for anything other then lowlight and super far off objects. I'm happy for the better camera as well but I hate how the speakers were sacrificed and the battery was reduced and how we now have a hole punch on the screen it sucks I don't want trade offs that don't need to happen we could've had the better camera and kept all of the other good stuff heck the selfie camera can be hidden under the screen its been done before. If I wanted trade offs I would've gotten a zen phone it's much more practical then any gaming phone and if I wanted a super good camera I would've gotten a camera focused phone. When I mean my mother gets complemented I mean they think she is using an extremely fancy camera

I can half believe it.... Depends how you phrase the question. "What improvements would you like to see added in the 8 series?" Vs "What differences would you like to see in the 8 series". I wanted a better camera and IP rating ADDED, but definitely not if it meant losing front facing speakers, a non-hole punch screen, the larger (award winning) battery life etc. If I wanted a more mainstream appealing phone, then I would have bought one previously. This was going to be my 4th ROG phone, but not anymore.
