  I HATE when people who know nothing about wool insist that shearing a sheep is animal cruelty. Have you ever seen a sheep that escaped captivity and was left to grow it's wool out for years without being sheared? THAT'S animal cruelty

Are you talking to these people? Most of the people I know who are against shearing have an issue with it because the large scale farms where you buy the majority of your wool products are abominations and the fact that they F up a sheep whenever they shear it isn't even at the top of the list of the sheeps problems, either. What I hate from people, is when they cherry pick every bad argument in favor of animal welfare or try to reverse the questioning. "but the crop deaths happen" or "it's food chain". It's like these people are walking fallacies.
