After watching you and Darius shear I can barely stand to watch anybody else do it. They are so rough with the way they manhandle them. 😡 You guys are so calm and so caring 😍 I just I love watching you. I really appreciate that you are out there doing that for these wonderful creatures. Thank you. Thank you
I hope the owners realize how gentle you are with their livestock. You're such a joy to watch.
Love how he extended his hind leg for you at the end 😂
I randomly came across your channel. I am mesmerized by watching sheep shearing. I think you do an excellent job at handling the animals and explaining the process. Keep it up. I am in awe!!
Thank you. I enjoy watching you shearing. I love that you talk and educate us about the shearings and different animals that you do. I find it very interesting and relaxing.

And it shows you not only know what you are doing, but the affection you hold each sheep in. Or llamas. Or alpacas. Or Angora goats.
Actually in their homeland, Southdown fleeces command the highest price and were the foundation of England’s wealth. That is why the Chancellor of the Exchequer traditionally sat on the Woolsack. Southdowns are very much a minority breed now but it is a versatile multi purpose wool, making amongst other uses, fine woven cloth. Perhaps the American sheep have changed due to breed selection. We noticed at state fairs that many of our breeds have changed character and conformation.

I used to work on a farm in London’s that had only Southdown and Ryland sheep and their crosses. Such a shame it shut down shortly after I left to move to the countryside

@@TheLifescasualty That's just RUDE! WTF is your problem?
That one sure seemed a feisty ! You sure don't need hand cream after that !
You make this look so easy, but I see how hard he is trying to escape! Thanks for the video.
He’s like, “I know I should be sayin “Baaaaaaad, but ooooooooOOOOoooooo that feels sooooo GooOOood…” There’s one sheep nearby that sounds like a human man with a deep voice trying to sound like a sheep… Keeps saying, “MAaaaaaa”
I don't watch your videos regularly. But when I just need to relax and get the problems of the world out of my head, your videos are my medicine.
The sheep fat bouncy white tummy looks so cute. Seems squishy.

I was gonna remark on that belly pillow too!❤ I don’t know that I could’ve resisted the urge to give it a few pats!
For all of his small size, he was definitely a total handful! congratulations on handling him so well 😃😀
Love your account you guys.. I’ve been a subscriber for a very long time. Not sure how many years… just long. You and your wife rock shearing! Work very well together.
Good morning Katie and Darian.☕☕☕ Have blessed day.
I love watching you shear. I really like how kind you are to the animals and take the time to make it a good experience with you. That is especially important for folks pets. You need some merchandise like Cammy from @TheSheepGame.

I feel the same way. And it's relaxing to watch the animal get that heavy burden lifted off them and feel better afterwards.
Neat how you got him to extend that last leg out straight by pressing on the hip.
Loved how carefully you manscaped this boy.
Your commentary is hilarious! And watching you skillfully shearing is so relaxing.🐏
Really enjoy your channel. I love when you comment or do voice overs to educate about the animals and the shearing process. Please keep the longer format videos coming. Not a fan of the “shorts”.
I love how you make them feel safe and comfortable the way you hold them tight. 💛
Do you and Darian ever have to use hand lotion or does the lanolin keep y'all's hands pretty soft? Just curious. Also, how is your arm coming along?

I recall Katie saying the lanolin stings her cuts. Like putting rubbing alcohol on a wounds.

@@jacqueline-fc8wb that's right, she did. But I wonder if ,since their hands are in it all day, it makes their skin soft? It would make sense.

@@juliestrickland7754, I had the opportunity to chat with a sheep shearer one day. He said that most have very soft hands due to the lanolin. (I put it on my feet to reduce the calluses.)

@@Cricket2731 I kinda figured, but wasn't sure. Thank you for the info. 😀
Great job I like how you handle them 💞
FOR A LITTLE CRITTER HE SURE WAS A HANDFUL! GREAT JOB!
There’s entire YT channels on getting ahold of that fleece and cleaning it, dying it, spinning it and knitting the yarn. You can also use clean carded roving for quilted garments.
After you cut all of the wool off, he looks buttery soft ❤
🎵🎶 We've got the biggest balls of them all! 🎶🎵 😳😳 Wow, little dude! Seriously, he's so cute and chunky. Not super cooperative, but cute.
Been watching your videos for some time. This is the first time I realize how strong your body is. Including your legs. It's not just the usage of the clippers. Your body holds the sheep. You do not need a gym.
I love your full screen videos of your skill!
Look at the lanolin on your hands! No need for hand creme. Amazing...
I got to laugh at this guy. He's like ok ok you win! Please don't cut my joy stick off. 🤣 being very still.. omg ❤️🤗 great job!!
You can see the animals relax as you start.Gentle spirit. If you ever get tired of this job, hair dressing next.😄😄
He looks so clean and light when you were done. Great job.
He has a cute face.😊
I found your channel by chance and am thoroughly hooked. I have watched a couple of other shearing channels and I find myself critiquing their technique based on what I have learned from watching you. (You win hands down. 😅) Thank you for sharing! ❤️🌻❤️🌻
That sheep knows where his center of gravity is and how to use it!
I love hearing the other sheep in the background carrying on. One of them sounds like a person saying "baaaa." :)
He is just adorable 😊
Who needs to go to the gym when you work with these sweeties. On top of getting a full body work out you get soft hands from all the lanolin enriched fleece
They seem more crabby than the others. Lol.....great fleese!
That one was sure feisty! You did a great job. You're the bomb ❤
I think these sheep are just extra adorable!!!! I heard their wool is actually quite nice and is underrated.
You guys really do a great job of anticipating the questions of us city dweller spectators . What a great channel
I love your videos so much. Soothing but also educational. Thank you so much for posting!
Il est fort ton BB mouton 😊 ❤️ nice job Katie I love what you do for these lovely animals 💞
I love this channel. Thanks for sharing.
This is the first time that I've noticed a sheep that seemed really intent on watching the process. If he could see what you were doing, he calmed right down.
It's so calming the way you cut, the wool just rolls off. Sweet😊
always a pleasure to watch u do ur thing!!🙂
I always find myself moving with you when you are lifting the sheep up to get a better position. Then I realize that I am empathetically working with you, and it makes me laugh. I never thought I would find shearing so addictive, but I definitely.am. I came across your videos a couple of years ago, and I have enjoyed watching you girls ever since. It's great watching you earn the trust of the sheep and llamas you work with. Amazing resect your skill!
Well for goodness sakes how sweet is that!
It's amazing just how dense that Southdown wool is
Great Job Katie😊He’s Got The Cutest Face😊Thanks For Sharing ❤

For some reason I miss you last videos always like them thank you again I have seen a few other shearers and you seem to be nicer to the sheep not hurting them, that is really good in my book.
You make it seem soo easy... but keeping them in check while you get tye job done quickly.... no easy task! Hats off to you:)
Do you have a video where you show your tattoos? I try to pause and zoom in, but, still hard to get good detail. Would love to hear their stories. And as always, thank you for another great video!
Какие они из под твоей руки выходят красавчиками, а ка ты уверено их стрижешь, приятно смотреть на твоё мастерство.
Hey Katie, for galls that big he needed handles, which were absent
Loved watching you with Cammy on the sheep game.
Hes A Handsome, Chonky Boy❤
This one seemed like a lot of work. Great job.
He was also a real wiggle-worm!
You have amazing skills sister. Take care.
New subscriber. This is more of an art the a job. Very cool. 😮
I love watching these videos, because it's interesting. Also she is very careful not to hurt them.😊
Please explain how you go over eyes and it dont hurt them ,
The easiest and most energy efficient and water friendly way to clean a fleece is by "suint fermentation". Soak a dirty fleece in water in a covered container for a week or two (outdoors! 🤭). The salts and lanolin in the fleece create a natural soap. Follow up by a rinse. The dirty water can be used again and again on the next fleeces, requiring less time to soak as the water becomes saturated with natural soap and enzymes. I like that some lanolin is retained in the fleece as compared to scouring with a commercial product in hot water.
i love baby doll sheep. they are so freakin cute!
It's fun to see his true color. He definitely was feisty!
I am so excited for the next video since its from my home country!!!!!!!🎉
Great job on the little handsome
Good job girl! ❤
It's definitely more challenging. 😊❤
He is calm now enjoying the massage. 😊

Dang he was a fighter. My whole body hurts watching that lol
OK watched a few ngl ur humor sold me I'll make it official n sub ❤❤
Speaking as a male, I think if I was held and maneuvered like that while getting a haircut, I'd be one of your most compliant clients.
Cute sheep
I’m getting my first sheep next year, they’re going to be babydoll. I’ve got experience working on dogs and rabbits but not sheep. Hopefully I can do it! You make it look so easy but I know that’s the experience showing.
He was the wiggliest one I've seen yet!
He has a cute little tummy
What a good girl!
💗
Great MMA technique. Babydoll tapped out in record time. Chuck Norris would be proud.
I've never seen a sheep watch them selves get sheared before! Clothes then being antsy he looked like he was enjoying it! Lol
No wonder your hands a so soft. Lanolin. 😊
Feisty little fella
Good name.
I always get nervous when you shear over/around their eyes😬
That boy has some huevos rancheros!
Love watching you shear. Don't they ever try to bite?
Whoa he's a chunk under all that 😅
I'm gonna start adding comments until I see u wearing safety googles....love a concerned nurse!!!!
