Embarrassing (yet amusing) true story...when she would refer to the "pizzle", I thought for real it was just some cutesy name she made up to be discreet. Imagine my surprise to find out that this is actually what it'a called!!! (Can you tell I was born and raised in NYC?!)

I like that you always help them to their feet and give them a good job pat. Too many times I’ve seen sheep tossed aside when the shearer is done because they’re trying to get stuff done in a hurry and I feel like tossing the animals around just creates more fear. It feels like you build a partnership with the animals and try to work together with them and I like that.

He was like, "whoa there! Not so close to the jewels."

You make it look like anyone could do it, just unzip the fleece like a thick winter coat and all done. Amazing skill. I don’t know what that ram was thinking, but it must be a relief to lose that hot covering in warm weather, done quickly and with no nicks or bruises.
