    I used three pieces of angle iron (L pieces) to make a betwixt piece. Use two to create a U, bolting together with two bolts. Use the third, within the U, to help hold them apart, facing forward, using one of the bolts... Basically, one side of the U goes onto the bike, with new bolts, into two of the frame holes (and ignore the third). The other side of the U gets the pegs' bracket bolted to it, using two of the bracket's built-on bolts... It makes the removable of the bracket easier, since not unbolting from the frame... Some drilling and angle grinder work, some bolts and nuts, a little paint... You can build the pieces using far less time than you'd need to remove it again.

    Hi, I watched your video because I'm looking for an answer to a similar situation. I just bought a 2003 V Rod, I saw that the coolant tank was empty, I already sent to buy the liquid, and here comes the question, when you turn on your bike, the fans that are in the radiator, are turned on at the time or how long it takes, I imagine that this is the temperature sensor, to activate them, right? And if so, I did not notice where it should be located and how you worked to remove it and place it back.

    What fid you use to read the codes and clear them too? I know cars have a OBD2 Port to hook up too, not sure on bikes.

  • @enriquepalacios8309
    @enriquepalacios83092 жыл бұрын

    To read the codes, 1- Ignition off 2- push odometer reset button in & hold. Make sure run switch is on. 3- turn ignition to run and release button (you will see P, S &C displayed) 4- each letter represents an area of diagnostics... the one that is flashing is the one you are going to check. To move from one letter to the next, you push the button one time. (from P to S to C and back to P, etc.)

    @@enriquepalacios8309 Harley spent $300 million developing that bike with Porsche. After countless hours and huge money tuning that bike perfectly to those mufflers on a dyno and you just ruined it with a drill. If you want a different sound, buy a different bike. If you want more performance use the resources that spend the millions so you don't have too. My vrod puts 160HP at the rear with the stage 3 screaming eagle. A perfect ratio of fuel to air. You my friend have less back pressure, causing your engine's ecu to run rich leaving unburnt fuel deposits. This will cause piston, cylinder and valve damage. Get that engine up to temp at high rpms and you ecumenical will flip running to lean and burnt a hole right in those aluminum pistons. Budget? I think not.

    @@mahealanihawaii9830 nope! Runs great when you tune it. Bikes have to meet stringent EPA standards for emissions and decibel limitations. That takes priority over power. Once you remove the baffles and get more airflow, you tune for power and get great results. Which is why the aftermarket business is booming for motorsports.😎🏍👍

    What saddlebag set up do you have? Also with pipes can you use 3in hole saw to remove inner baffle? Do you need to map the fuel mixture?

  • @enriquepalacios8309
    @enriquepalacios83092 жыл бұрын

    It's the OEM Harley Sport saddlebags. A holesaw works to remove baffles. It helps to "perforate" with a dril before cutting with the saw since the metal is pretty thick. I've since changed to a V&H comp 2 into 1, and have the stock exhaust for sale if you want it.
