An excellent video. So well put together. I think this is one of the best compound leg exercises in the gym. I dread it, but I love the results. Instead of a kettlebell, I use a weight plate or dumbbell.

I have hip dysplasia and scoliosis. No matter what I do in the morning it resets and I'm stiff and in pain. I hate it

this is a stupid excerise you miss out on the most muscle growing part of the rom the ecentirc cause you have substiuted that with another muscle, and youre always stronger on the way down then on the way up so it gives unequal intesity

I used to do barbell bench press for years. I got to the point where i was benching 120kg for 2x with 80ish kg. Never felt my chest but i got stronger on it. But with push ups i can feel my chest lot better doing push ups on dumbbells for more ROM is so much better than doing barbell bench press. Also i can move my scapula which feels so good on push ups. Also its easy to progress on it, just put plates on your back and you are good to go. Unless you are too strong. Because doing push ups with a 20kg on your scapula can be really challenging

"not everything is about optimal hypertrophy" is just so true, most people dont realise that there is more to fitness
