I hear ya about your riding gear problems and I went through similar stuff until I found used Aerostich gear. It’s not very bikery looking, but it sure is protective, comfy and waterproof.
It made my day when I bought my 2011 wide glide orange with black flames. I'm still rolling on it until I can buy a new road glide
Not only for dyna wide glade is the best but dyna super glade too......
My first ever Harley-Davidson is a new to me '94 Dyna Wide Glide with the Evo 80, only bigger Harley engine besides the Sportster 1200 I will ever consider owning. I like simple and carbureted. It's my first V-Twin had a new knockoff CV carb installed on it that was missing some inlets and ran like garbage with a nasty lean spit. In the process of rebuilding the original so it's running correctly, I may jet it a bit higher if necessary. I found another V-Twin shortly afterwards that I'd always wanted which is a rare 2 year run 1986 Honda Shadow VT1100C which runs like a top but I need to do some work to the cooling system, it has a leaking upper radiator hose which is unobtanium. I will do a full on cooling system redo probably with customer made hoses and maybe just buy a new fuel pump and water pump as spares for now. It has new tires as compared to the 6 year old tires on the Dyna which I will change myself and balance myself. These aren't my first cruiser bikes, I've had an '82 Yamaha XJ1100J MAXIM for decades and I just landed another one that's extremely clean. Got a down payment on it to hold it and will make the nearly 400 mile round trip to go pick it up by the week's end. I haven't ridden much for years and I have the bike bug again hard and plan to tour all over with any and all of these bikes.
The '18 doesn't have V&H Short Shots on it, they're just V&H slip-ons on the stock headers. As to which looks better, the answer is neither. The original Evo Fat Boy is the winer.
the constant looking up and down ruins the video
Sorry brother! Keep that hog cranked!
O5 wideglide my favorite color chrome it's like my chopper.love it.
1) not a good first bike 2) great 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, final bike next
False, great first bike. I said what I said.
I just got a 2023 heritage. I traded it from a Roadking. I'm am so glad.
How do you set the clock?
I still have a 2015 Dyna Wide Glide. Will never sell it. You can´t replace it unless you spend a lot of money. It´s a powerful little bike and quicker than you think. If you take care of it , it´ll last 20 years. Much better than any Sportster.
I just bought a 2013 Fat Boy. I prefer the classic one.
Harleys aren't designed for taller riders!!
I rode the 107 Street Glide and the 114 Street Glide. I noticed the 114 had a little more pickup and speed, but not enough to get me to buy it. So' i bought the 107 Standard Street Glide now if i want more power i can put whatever i want in it when their warranty is over. However' if you're going to be hauling fat girls around, then go for the most power you can afford. The fatter the girl, the bigger the motor. So if your riding around tight lil spinners, 107s are fine. But you like them corn fed, beefy with jelly rolls, then you may want to avoid the 107s 114s 117s and just op for the 121, 131 and 135 motors. Not only will you thank yourself later, your poor bike will thank you too.
That exhaust is 100% stock.
After riding almost every kind of motorcycle made since I was 11 years old (I'm 70 now and have owned 5 different Harleys and about 40 other bikes) and even professionally racing some I can tell you for certain that a half hour ride tells you nothing about any motorcycle. Vibration of the motorcycle at idle means nothing!!! I prefer riding the older Harleys before they put balancers in the motors to smooth them out. They have a distinct soul...the newer Harleys have much much less because they run so smoothly. They don't really even sound like a real Harley anymore....Not a bad video, but no real substance here.
That’s the KZread game my friend.
Well, i have seen one ultra limited with only one person on it. Thats me. I dont have someone to ride with me. But thats ok.
700lb bikes arent for beginners. Way too many people on the road with no skills on too big or fast bikes. This is why we get creamed so often.
Yeah I just don’t agree at all
@@TheTwoWheeledTeacher not sure Ive met a single one that could pass the basic low speed maneuverability tests. Might exist, but few and far between.
Just bought a 2010 super glide for my first bike, love it and love the looks , but more importantly, it feels so good and fits like a glove!! 👍😋
Hello can you tell me what is the length of you cables with the 18inch Apes
I just recently bought myself a 2016 wide glide. I am loving it so far. Thank for this video after watching it I think she might have the stage one. My brother has a 2020 heritage 107 an I smoke him.
At the 4-minute Mark when you're pulled over to the side of the road putting on rain gear... Don't stand between your bike and on coming cars.. you should have been standing on the other side of the bike.... Number to always carry at least three pairs of gloves.. hot cold and wet .. last time I crossed the country I brought five different.. they take up almost no room.. and finally when it looks like it's going to rain it is going to rain... So suck it up and just pull over and put the gear on.. you're going to have to anyway😁
I never liked fatboys or heritage ..or baggers..my 09 comstomized superglide is the cats meow!
Old Skool Fatboy all the way. Such an iconic bike. I get they have to evolve it, but it was pretty perfect from the start. The only flaw with a Fatboy as a hwy bike is the wheels. The solid wheels are brutal in high winds.
love my 96 evo for life
My 22 fatboy 114 is a badass.
Really! or is it really really
had a 2007 for 12 years, all good and cool but sold it 2019 and bought an e-glide. Missed my fatboy and just bought a new 2022 model. Find it more comfortable and more fun. Still have the e-glide 😬
horrible sound on this video. hard to hear a lot of the time
Looking at picking one of these up lightly used... One sitting at the HD dealer near me with only 4000km on the clock. Been riding a Vulcan 900 for a while, but it is no highway cruiser, more like a screamer, haha.
Old school is the best. The newby sucks, I’d rather buy a Honda, oh by the way, this big is not a make over, it’s a totally different bike 😎👎
Got my first Harley Davidson last week after a lifetime of riding Japanese motorcycles. Picked up a 2003, 100th anniversary, wide glide in silver and black. Thanks for this video
I will stick with my s&s 117. 124, I am on the look for the 145 anniversary edition. Its a bad. Heck s&s has a 160 cubic now.
Why must they make harleys so small
Swapped my Roadking for a Heritage. Its lighter and more nimble. Im never going back to a heavy touring bike
where is PT2?
3:35 not the same motor as the Dyna Lowrider S... that 110B isn't on the Dyna S, it has un un-counterbalanced 110. 👍
I have a 2017 Slim S... So, no, the "S" models, didn't end in "2016." 👍
Does this bike have air ride suspension?
I have a stage 1 2010 wide glide with fat bob trees and street bob tins. With the reduced rake it looks even more amazing and rides even better.
I toured thousands of miles on a honda rebel 500 and sportster iron 883xxl. My heritage is just perfect, not too light, not too heavy. Maybe a Road King is a comparable bike based on looks but you can’t go wrong on both those bikes.
I prefer my 2002 Fatty
"upgraded suspension"? ...are you sure about that?
I have the same Bike, same color, great Bike! the wife and I have toured over the Bear Tooth Mountains, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mammoth Springs, Sturgis, Black Hills, Badlands, Mount Evans, Ridge Trail Rockies, Eureka Springs, North Shore MN and list goes on! I'm running this one as long as possible!
Old one all day. New one looks too maxed out - completely lost the point trying to be gangster/ custom that needs tats and a bald head. Dislike the square head light and wide wide rear end and short fender. The original is a fat boy.
i’ll take the older fatboy all day long. also, it would’ve been cool if you would’ve went even older than the 11.
Meanwhile in the UK your first motorcycle will be the required 50cc bike.
I could not watch You need a 883 Get a windshield your not a biker
No they did not get it right. The new bikes look like jap shit
My '98 EVO Fatboy is classic. Much copied but never eclipsed. Nooby Fatboy trying to look like any other big twin. Blaah.
