2020 ROAD KING WITH 18-INCH APE HANGER HANDLEBARS!

Фильм және анимация

When I saw this pristine 2020 Road King on the lot at Tallahassee Harley-Davidson, I knew I had to take it out and see what life was like behind 18-inch ape hanger handlebars! To no one's surprise, this was an awesome bike to ride. The ride was comfortable, the handlebars actually made the experience more enjoyable, and a lot of the work most riders would do to a new bike has already been done. The mounting hardware on the back is there, a stage one kit has already been installed, and those handle bars, of course are already on! Check out my review of this awesome bike.

The difference between 10" and 18" is massive. You should really do some real miles with them before commenting that they're not fatiguing. That said, I have 16" on my RKS, and have done 10 hour riding days with loads of twisties with them, and they are amazing. In low speed maneuvers they can be a bit unwieldy, but anything over 10 mph and they're perfect.

My girl loves the 01 Road King stock seat, she's super comfy after sitting on a solid mounted sportster for years (with the badlander seat). Now she's spoiled, but I get the Sporty to myself now lol. Picking up a CVO leather tour pack with the armrest back rest and quick detach this week so shes really going to be able to chill back there. Putting probably 16" apes on this winter as well

My wife said it was the most comfortable ride she’s ever had and that’s saying a lot because she’s been on many bikes with me.

That's weird.. did you ever find out why they turned it back in with all the work done? I bought a 2019 just recently with all the stage one upgrade done with 200 miles on it.

I love apes, I'm moving from 12's to 16's soon. The only problem is the higher you go over your heart the more likely your arms start falling asleep. As for the history, apes were used by the military when they were using Harley's to protect the troops from being decapitated by trip line traps

Thanks for the video . It was really informative. I'm 5 feet 11 inches and about to buy a used Road King and am undecided between 16 and 18 inch apes. Could you share how tall you are and if you also have test driven a Road King with 16 inch apes ? (if you have do you prefer 16 or 18)

2:20 Bro, you don't really believe that, do you? lol People have done all sorts of dumb crap to their bikes in the name of what they perceive as "cool factor". Function and form definitely take a bake seat to many mods.
