  I'm glad I'm asian, I boggles me that the western market things are really expensive. I got my modded N3DS at local store for usd 170 converted, while you said it's 300 bucks, what a rip-off. I definitely got my money worth than buying retro games system that's all the rage now.

  @Madlittlepixel have you tried Red Viper on your 3DS, the Virtual Boy emulator? Its incredible. Best way to play Virtual Boy games

  I'm addicted to my New 3DS XL since MadlittlePixel did a video on it. Its awesome. The 3D looks so good. I really hope the next Switch is the Switch 3D. Yeah the prices are very high, but its worth it at the high price because, there is no other gaming device like it.

  I've seen them before from another KZreadr and I checked it out. I was in the market for one but they didn't have have a standard New 3ds. I was looking for the smaller one. In the end, I decided to buy one on ebay and do it myself. I already did it twice before years ago.

  Super Nintendo is my favorite console. Was 6 when NES launched, but a teenager when the SNES launched. So many good RPGs

  Yes please. This type of series would be super helpful indeed. One thing I have always wondered, is once you clean up the ROMS can you just add more ROMS or do you need to expand the space of the hard drive.

  I got a red "New" 3DS XL from a pawn shop. They listed it as a 3DS XL, I paid $175. Works perfectly, just has some cosmetic issues with the top and bottom plate. Paint peeling. I'm going to say it's a common issue. I modded it myself, with relative ease. It's actually quite surprising how easy it is to do.

  the pricing in general for N3DSXL is abysmal, i was so ready to buy on ebay/fb/etsy but had to remind myself im almost paying $300 for an old device. I've seen prices reach windows handheld levels its absolutely ridiculous, scalpers!!

  Aliexpress is way way cheaper. and of course local markets will be even better but perhaps not modded but modding takes 15min or so

  got 2 from Aliexpress after you videos a couple of months ago, quite happy with them. they were pre-modded, had the r4 card, etc

  Oh.. I’m liking the look of that mode mount for quick access, I presume that wouldn’t work with a 2.5 inch SSD ?

  Yeah, I get it. But at the same time this is really not like doing an emulation setup on a PC or raspberry Pi.. you are not hunting for Roms to download. A couple quick steps and you can go through the hshop and choose what games you want from the 3DS itsself. But if ya dont got time for that always gotta be careful who and where you are buying from at least.

  @@Madlittlepixel That's why I usually enjoy your content, and others in the retro community who review said devices...The Pros and the Cons...The Good, the Bad, the Ugly...Does the product get the "👎 down, or 👍 up!" Does it pass consumer muster....? If not 🚫...I won't be investing...Me, thanks to the community...I have a great collection of PowKitty, and Ambernic devices with decent libraries....

  ​@@aaronwalker1615the best games to play DS/3DS games will always be on a DS/3DS. Your anbernic and powkiddy is not optimized for dual screen, not capable of touch screen and blow controls. They are best for retro games but not for this. Thats why I have my Miyoo Mini Plus for NES up to psx games and DS for DS games. Now I'm just wondering if 3DS is really worth it cos I can't seem to find great games that can convince me to get it

  To be fare the everdrive brand is a bit pricey but from what I understand worth it, there are cheaper carts out there but you won’t be getting the quality or perks of an everdrive.

  The actual modding process only took me a couple hours. Finding and installing all the software I wanted took a few more days in total but I still used the 3ds within that time. So for the sake of likely over 100 bucks difference I think it's worth giving it a go yourself

  Aliexpress does it for you and they don't really add any markup. But if you do it yourself...its extremely easy. Not much to learn, and you understand the ins and outs of the mod. this way you know what you can upgrade and what you should avoid. If you have time to play it, you have time to mod it. Its around 15min or so to mod it. Most likely, the used one you buy will be modded already anyways.

  I can tell just looking at it it doesn’t have all games on it.3ds has a 300 title limit you need to use a program to split all the titles up into folders

  I'm not sure why you'd need (or even want) more than 300 3DS games on the system, especially since you can have a near unlimited amount of retro games in Twilight Menu.

  @@jwill7998 On other systems I love having 10s of thousands of games but this is not a good system for so many games because of how to navigate it. Espeically Twilight sucks for navigation. you need a favorite system at least.

  It says a lot that they couldn't send a properly working 3DS to be reviewed on youtube. They couldn't even take the time to test for something that important.

  Have you tried the Neo Geo Pocket emulator for DS? It's called NGPDS, it's not well known and not much is out there about it but since you have the Twilight menu I figured I'd mention it. It's really good!
