Heard way to much of you and not enough of the song. The whole skipping huge sections doesn't do well for reactions. You two yapping while parts play in the background sucks

Sooooo..... If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out the new collaboration that The Warning did with Band-Maid, called "Show Them". Just dropped yesterday, and it's *awesome*.

Danny Carey is one of the greatest polyrhythmic drummers of all-time and very closely tied with his icon, Neil Peart. As cheesy as it may sound, Tool is more of an experience than a band. Continue down the rabbit hole and Spiral Out...

Tool army here. I wasn't going to watch this reaction but decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I love the dynamic between father and son. You guys are adorable and weird in the best way possible. Please do more Tool. It would be so dope if you reacted to their full discography in order - you'd so how theu evolved. Tool is an immaculate band; there's no one like them. 🌀 P.S. DO NOT SKIP THE SONG.. this is torture for Tool fans. It's not enough, we need more! ( You'll get that later).

Chevelle was influenced by Tool (Tool came out 10 years earlier), but Chevelle is like a dumbed down version with a similar type of vocalist.

This song is meant to be played with Intension and Triad. They're called The Holy Trinity. That's why it sounds like it starts in the middle of the song and ends abruptly.

I've seen people make those types of comparisons. Some said Tool is the Pink Floyd of their generation. Pausing to make comments is fine, of course. But if you don't play the whole song, people can't understand specifically what you are reacting to. This video was mostly commentary with very little of the song.

There’s a pretty good video that breaks down the math in this song here on KZread, I believe it’s called “the mathematics of lateralus” . P.S. invest in some quality headphones . Bands like tool are very intricate , they’re musician musicians . Different instruments and vocals are purposely turned up/ down and sometimes are barely noticeable or sometimes even completely inaudible through speakers. Hope to see you guys grow! The tool army is an actual thing btw 😂 you react to tool, they will come. Also dad nailed it on the head with that one. Tool is often referred to as the spiritual successor to Rush. Check out Dream Theatre if you Iike prog rock 🤙🤙 Show him spirit of the radio for a time change parallel . Also… Test for Echo is basically the same groove as Lateralus 🤙🤙

Like many others are saying -- don't break up the songs by skipping forward in editing. Pause and commentate to break up the song for automated copyright purposes and add commentary to make it transformative therefore being Fair Use, but do not cut out parts of the song or skip through it. People won't respond too well to that lol.

To add to the fathers Rush suggestion to young folks (I was born in the 90s, but.... whatever), start out with 'Tom Sawyer'. It's probably their most widely known song and if you like Tool -- you'll definitely like that song.

You're not wrong at all about Rush and Tool. Tool has also been called the Pink Floyd of the 90s, for their deep and thought provoking lyrics, and the emotional emphasis they're able to create.

DISCIPLE Songwriters: Paulina Villarreal / Alejandra Villarreal / Daniela Villarreal The sun is your enemy today Have you heard the news that the world isn't ending? It's starting again But all the nonbelievers they keep on pretending The sun is your enemy today You love to look away from the face of your vices Embrace them instead And welcome yourself into the new modern crisis Oh, oh, I've been waiting Oh, Disciple in the making Kill the system Kill the man Strip the power from their hands Your eyes will bleed as you stare at the screen You shall remain Inside your space 2, 3, Go! The sun is my enemy today I'm running from the misery like there's no tomorrow Let's share it with them And show all the world that this life isn't borrowed time Oh, oh, I've been waiting Oh, Disciple in the making Kill the system Kill the man Strip the power from their hands Your eyes will bleed as you stare at the screen You shall remain Inside your space Swimming with the fishes 'til they drown Love is just another excuse we rely on Palpable but hidden in the sound Hate will always be a good friend when the sun goes down Oh, oh, oh, hear my calling Oh, oh, oh, nonbelievers start running Oh, oh, I've been waiting Oh, Disciple in the making Kill the system Kill the man Strip the power from their hands Your eyes will bleed as you stare at the screen You shall remain Inside your space of ignorance

Tool Army checking in! Good video guys, one BIG suggestion, Tool fans love the reaction, but if you want us to watch the videos we need to hear the whole song.(with pausing of course) Amazing job picking up on the lyrics. Hope to see more videos. If you truly want your mind blown then react to Nightwish "Ghost Love Score " live from Wakken 2013 led by the Valkyrie Floor Jansen. They have a huge Army of fans like Tool.

Few suggestions. Play the song through don't skip forward because Tool fans want to hear the whole song. Of course stopping to comment occasionally is expected. I realize Tool has crazy time signatures and polyrhythms, and sometimes Maynard's vocals are purposely lower. I can't stress enough DO NOT WATCH THE OFFICIAL VIDEOS. Too distracting. Audio is best. If you want the lyrics just pull them up. Yes there's chaos, it puts me in mind of jazz. Not that they sound like jazz (don't come for me Tool army) it's just similar in the sense that everyone sounds like they're playing a different song but it all comes together masterfully. Try The Pot, 46&2, or Right In Two. Those are good ones to ease into Tool with.
