The only code enforcement I would pursue would be to require new construction to properly seal basement walls & floors against moisture and radon since such products are readily available. Rather than ventilating the exterior of the slab 24/7 with a 350watt blower one could periodically ventilate the interior living space with an energy recovery ventilator.

"because electrical is never DIY" what a bunch of BS. Yes there are people who own homes who have no business touching anything electrical, on the other side there are lots of very competent knowledgeable people who can follow the codes, do the research and perform safe, code-compliant work on their own homes. I have had licensed electrical contractors do the shoddiest, most unsafe work that would not pass a code inspection.

Say it isn't so that you're involved in a major lawsuit tied to a builder that you endorsed. The information goes to say that you claimed.You had nothing to do with the builder.Yet your finance company lent them the money for the project at a ten percent interest rate. Sounds like you're involved to me. This seems a little hypocritical. Why didn't you jump in and fix their house for free? Be watching to see how this Litigation pans out. Make it right you say. I also saw that it said you had to buy a home warranty to protect the shoddy craftsmanship. If they built it according to the way you said it was supposed to be why would you need a warranty? It's this true?

I found panasonic in all cfm levels are quiet. I have a 295 cfm in the main bath. Its strong enough to pull the door open. I put one in the kitchen as well as it pull spicy airbone particles out quickly

I had one of your recommended roofers re-shingle my roof. That was the worst experience I ever had with a qualified roofer. They missed a couple of locations where the roof vents were located and went right over them! This commercial you currently have on many stations claiming that a 10 year old roof should be replaced............REALLY??????? What a crock of sewer crap!

It would be interesting if it also had nfc, near field communication. Kind of like the way you pay at a gas station with your phone. But instead you can use it as an RFID to unlock your door.

Stay away from trades young people! No job security, you literally have to hope someone hires you for a job. Then they try to negotiate the cheapest price. Your body gets worn out, no regular income. Listen to an ex carpenter who fell for the bullshit. I now own a fast food business earning good money and it’s fun

You have to in order to see everything behind the Sheetrock. Wiring, Plumbing, Vapor Barrier, Insulation, Ductwork and to also see Structural Integrity for load bearing walls and what not! If it’s wrong you need to replace it no matter what! Love your work Mike.

So what would you do different on a home with a basement where the builder poured the slab directly on the dirt with just a vapor barrier? Since there is no aggregat under the slab, how would it pull air from beneath the entire house?

I don't like the idea of everyone has a tree that grows money to pay for spray foam but removing drywall is a very good insurance policy and can actually save other trades time, therefore money.
