It’s just wrong for a country to get into a war it doesn’t intend to win, to be there for political reasons is not right, our men/women that believe in what our country is supposed to be about deserve better, the Vietnamese didn’t want nothing but to be free,

There were some insane practices back during the Ottoman Empire. But, the Ottomans weren't the only ones to have engaged in such things. Things like HONOR KILLINGS still persist in some societies today. Sad, but true. Being Native, we've had some terrible practices in the past as well. So, I'm not going to judge the past by our current beliefs and practices.

The title "Everything the British Stole from the World" is extremely misleading. Conveniently the word "class" is never mentioned. The British working class people were probably the most exploited human beings on the planet. Investigate the iron workers of South Wales (a life expectancy of 21 years) and the enclosure of the commons, along with the Scottish Highland Clearances. Do your homework before pontificating about how bad the British are.

Germany has acknowledged its role during the war, and has made amends to others to atone for the atrocities and war crimes of the Nazis, the German armed forces and civilians of the German government. Japan, on the other hand, hasn't done so, and so long as that subject matter continues to fester within the national collective consciousness of the Japanese, there will be recurring anti-Japanese sentiment and no reconciliation towards Japan by those who suffered egregiously at the hands of the Japanese military and civilians of the Japanese government.

7:48 where did the Europeans get the slaves in Africa? Well at the time there was tribal wars going on in Africa and the winners would take slaves and then they discovered that they could sell their own people to white slave traders for massive profits. I heard this person mention the Barbary Pirates who came from the Barbary states in North Africa (Morocco, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania & Mali) but I didn’t hear you say how they raided the coasts of Europe from the Mediterranean all the way up to Norway and enslaving white Europeans up until the 1830-1840’s (the slavery of white Europeans went on for nearly 400yrs). I should’ve included white Americans in that too as they raided their merchant ships and towards the end of their raiding it was mostly Americans they took as slaves as the Americans were the easiest targets so in the end the American government paid the Barbary Pirates not to attack their ships as they couldn’t defend themselves unlike the Royal Navy, French Navy, Spanish/Portuguese/Dutch Navies

Makes me proud to be English (not British), England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 was the country that ruled an Empire which we called the British Empire. When you get ignorant Americans who say “I love that British accent” What is a British accent? Today Britain 🇬🇧 is basically England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland 4 different countries with 4 different accents I have tried to educate my American side of the family on the matter as well as other things but they don’t get it because they’re idiots. But I’m English not British as I was born in Plymouth Devon England not in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or in all 4 countries at once
