    Great accompaniment! The birds certainly seemed to enjoy it. :) Shortwave isn't what it once was over here in the States; I miss listening to my little Realistic 9 band receiver into the wee hours of the morning, catching VoA or the BBC or the mysterious "number stations". Good times. Thanks for sharing, L.

    Thanks 🙂Yes,unfortunantly a lot of national stations have disappeared from the airwaves,although there are still some around. There is still lots to find,but one needs to be a bit of a shortwave 'artist' to know how to find it. I'm still a novice,but still manage to find some good stuff. And funnily enough one of the things i like about it is all that fading,crackling and hissing lol. Nice you were a fan of shortwave too 👍

    Why in a world are you wearing a mask

  • @bkgksan9798
    @bkgksan97987 күн бұрын

    They were wearing masking while pouring out bentonite which can be irritating and the standard safety practice is to use mask while handling it. I wear mask while I garden as I am allergic to something and get sick each time. There are people with allergies who like to garden and can use safety precautions. Being safe is not weird.

    Hello. Although Bentonite is a natural compound,in its dry form it will swell upto 10 times when in contact with moisture . So any contact with eyes or mouth when applying will cause extreme dryness,which I experienced even with the mask on. Hope that helps.

    Thanks so much for showing your process. We have half dug out a pond that I would like to be semipermanent but really didn't want to use a plastic liner - looks like bentonite is quite a straightforward option for a small pond.

  • @WildWoodlandsSW
    @WildWoodlandsSW9 күн бұрын

    Hello. I'm happy it was helpful to you Yes,i think its a great natural option,with the added bonus it is easy to add water plants if you like,as they easily take root in the bentonite/soil. I had a water plantain appear on its own,and its coming back this year. The main thing to consider with the bentonite is keeping the edges at a 30degree gradient,no more,so that the bentonite doesnt slip to the bottom. The gentle slope is also beneficial to wildlife,as well as a shallow beach area if possible. All the best with your pond,and thankyou for subscribing! Best wishes from Devon Uk🙂🌲

  • @WildWoodlandsSW

    It's actually a clip of a video from last year,and i thought it would do for a channel trailer for now 🙂 It is getting pretty green,particularly the silver birches,but a few of the trees are still in early bud. It really is a lot of fun when you check the TrailCam to see what surprises there might be,so that's great you want to put one out. I've been using the Wimius H8 TrailCam in all weather conditions,and it has done good service,though getting a little tired now after 3 years of use. I'm hoping to get a solar powered one next,but havnt looked into models yet. But i think its the right way to go,as they are situated outside,and it's a bit of a bummer when a lot of wind drains the battery because of branches or something,and you can miss a lot of footage. Hope that helps. Wonderful youve got the raccons coming out,they would be very entertaining i'm sure 🙂👍🦝

    Very welcome,glad you enjoyed! I'm not exactly sure about the Bentonite,as far as i understand from the one i used called sodium bentonite,it is a completely natural product,except it can cause dehydration before it contacts water and expands.
