Apologies, somehow i missed your comment. Very welcome, glad it helped! The pond has developed a nice natural look after a year and a bit, which is great to see. Thanks for watching 🌲
Thanks so much for showing your process. We have half dug out a pond that I would like to be semipermanent but really didn't want to use a plastic liner - looks like bentonite is quite a straightforward option for a small pond.

Hello. I'm happy it was helpful to you Yes,i think its a great natural option, with the added bonus it is easy to add water plants if you like,as they easily take root in the bentonite/soil. I had a water plantain appear on its own,and its coming back this year. The main thing to consider with the bentonite is keeping the edges at a 30degree gradient,no more,so that the bentonite doesnt slip to the bottom. The gentle slope is also beneficial to wildlife,as well as a shallow beach area if possible. All the best with your pond, and thankyou for subscribing! Best wishes from Devon Uk🙂🌲
really nice, like the new shape a lot :)

Thankyou 🙂 It's great to see the wildlife curiously exploring their new water source 👍🌲🐦
Very interesting, thanks for sharing it. May I ask if you could find some “heavy metal/chemical’s free” bentonite ? Just wondering since I’ve read that many producers can’t certify that. Ps: great flat cap, got exactly the same one

Very welcome, glad you enjoyed! I'm not exactly sure about the Bentonite,as far as i understand from the one i used called sodium bentonite,it is a completely natural product, except it can cause dehydration before it contacts water and expands. Good to hear you have the same cap, theyre really great. Thanks for watching 🙂🌲

@@hardstylelife5749 Very welcome. I used the 'layer cake' method, which is to put a layer of sodium bentonite, and a layer of soil on top. If you watch the first video,it shows more of the Bentonite application, and how i did it(Building a Bentonite Pond). You can also mix the soil and bentonite together. Best wishes for your pond!
