'Make the most of your opportunities' is my motto. Explore, be adventurous and learn. Every journey in life is a learning experience. As a mother and educator, I do deserve a restful break, however it tends to be a busman's holiday most of the time. This is raw travel without the frills, I pay for myself or usually am able to scrape the airfare and the rest sorts itself out.

Am I missing something here , I know largs fairly well, Ayr, Irvine, saltcoats , firstly i am Scottish living elsewhere , on my recent visit ro see friends , i can only assume this video was made years ago, all these towns above are rundown and quite frankly dumps and thats being kind
Great video 👍
Captain we'll no have any steam left for the engines if ye keep tootin'.😂
Haha good one.
worst atmosphere in england
I’m a Chelsea fan but I agree, it’s completely embarrassing
I enjoy going to matches regardless of who is playing
I enjoyed the ride, I lived in Largs for 12 years, drove almost every morning and return at night, Largs to Cardwell Bay MOD pier to catch a small boat to my ship at Holy Loch! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed the vlog
I lived in largs for fifteèn years, its changed a bit, not all for the better
Shame, It still has a charm that other places don't have.
Am in it right now as am watching this
Did you enjoy your stay?
Thanks for the video.l will be going on the ferry next month. So it was nice to see what to expect..l'm looking forward to the trip.
Have fun!
nice vid happy new year
Happy holidays! Thanks for all your support
Thank you so much for this lovely video. What has happened to my old school Largs Academy?
There is now a new large school that overshadows the town. Sign of the times. The old site is being redeveloped for housing. I am in agreement that Largs is a great place.
nice vid enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed
I'm more interested in Poundbasket.
Yes indeed Largs is nice but my vote would be Rothesay ,,,
Ahh yes, another lovely place. Visited with family on numerous occasions, would like to spend more time there.
Out of tune bagpipes, a parade with some ropey designed floats, a fire engine and a old tractor. Welcome to North Ayrshire. Thank god you missed the three toons.
haha, at least they made the effort. I enjoyed it!
It’s a small town what you looking for ?
Don't forget the pound shop!
@@user-fb4vu4og2c That just brightens up the shore front there. FFS.
Largs is well laid out with shops and long promenade only a few minutes walk and ferries to Cumbrae with Waverley paddle steamer in Summer. Prestwick has also these features but slightly farther back from Prom. Oban also great for same attractions but lots of ferries to islands.
All are great places, visited all these you have named. Largs is special for me due to family connections so will always be great in my eyes. I also agree about Oban, fab place.

Great video! My son and I are staying at Harmondsworth Hall Guest House Heathrow for our 22hr layover on our way to Egypt. Does the subway run to London from there? Thanks Jay
Hi, I would recommend getting a bus to Heathrow central bus station or Hatton Cross. You can get the Underground (Piccadilly line ). This will take you to the heart of London. It uses tap on/off---use google/apple pay or your bank card as cashless systems on TFL transport. London has lots to offer, do the sights, lots of walking but very doable. Any advice let me know, happy to help.
🎉
Thanks for the support
Please-I was born Liverpool in the 1960s , left in the 1980s, came back in the 2010s,😊😊😊😊 and I have never heard anyone with a Scouse accent say Paddy's Wigwam. We call it the Catholic cathedral😊😊
oh... apologies if I offended, my best friend is from Liverpool and this is what she calls it and informed me that it was known local as this. I guess you learn something knew everyday😊
Your vlogs are always a treat, each piece of footage in Bath shows its beauty and charm. 🤗 Like and support from Bangalore

Still love horses.

Shame the number 12 is a very reduced service, 5 buses a day compared to the 30 minute frequency of the less scenic number 7 to alum Bay. Many years ago the number 12 was part of the 7 route loop.
Yes it is a shame, we loved the island
very interesting
Glad you think so! Keep watching :)
Hey Jolly, may I ask how long your layover was? I potentially have an eight hour layover in Hong Kong in September and probably want to do all of what you did in the video!
Hi it was under 8 hours, if I remember correctly I think it was 6 hours. On arrival head straight to the harbour, take ferry and go up to Victoria Peak, then you can have the rest of the time shopping/sightseeing and make your way back to the airport. That is what I did, on hindsight I could have added more but I was worried about potential queues at immigration etc so I played safe. Enjoy your trip :)
@@jollygeniussworld thank you so much! So I'm assuming you got off at Kowloon and then walked to the harbour - and then back from Central? I have eight hours in total but, like you, I think I'd like to be at the gate ready well in advance!
Oh its changed again
We had a great time in Tenby and will be sure to return
@@jollygeniussworld we will too snap
Corps is pronounced Core and Buchan is Buck-un:-) Lots of military kit was kept in service or storage far longer than one might expect.. Great vid, looks like the boys enjoyed themselves.
Thanks for your comment, I do struggle with pronouncing some words :). Kids had a great time, we stumbled upon the bunker, wish we had more time as it was all a bit rushed.
missed that trip great vid
Always welcome to join the adventure

It really is!
lovely and cosy video
Thank you! 😊 Great spending quality time with family.
nice trip
It was a place to put our head down.
unfortunately not like it use to be before too many restrictions
Agreed, many parks and open spaces in England are becoming restricted and managed which means it costs. I remember when you could just roam!
its sad they stopped using them to cross the channel anymore
Agreed, great memories
a good pretty old island with a beautiful countryside
Best bus ride ever with scenic views.
nice historic tour
Worth a visit, an insight into the Queens private life.
specially the japanese toilette you'll need a japanese toilette driving license to use them
Ha ha ha
nice country and worth to visit
For STOPOVER, I could not stay longer than two day.
Its the only Hovercraft service in the World.
Really! Thanks for letting me know, that is news to me. So with that information, it is worth travelling by hovercraft for this unique experience.
Jollygeniussworld7038. this is superb shots! have a great day! 🤓
Thanks
Thank you. I grew up there. I started school in that old flint school. We walked in a crocodile of children holding hands across to St.Helen's church for hymns. I miss Wheat.std. even though it's changed loads and there's no one there now who I'd know, or who'd know me. My parents grave is in the churchyard. I love watching new posts about Wheathampstead.
It is a lovely village, I visited a friend who lives there. Great place to recharge my batteries. Please like, hit the bell and subscribe.
I was born and raised in Wheathampstead and like you went to the old flint school
@@mikebroomfield8947 I left Wheathampstead Secondary school in 1976. I've lived the last 30 yrs in Wales but I still get homesick for Wheathampstead. I've only been back twice, for my parents funerals. They're in the churchyard in a double grave.
Revisited the village last Monday, lots and lots of great memories there. Its a fabulous place to live even though some of the pubs have now closed. I also attended the old flint school and secondary school which has sadly been knocked down! Claire, we probably know each other, I stayed on to 6th form and left in 78.
