  Forget everything else about watches: brands, heritage, prices, etc. Just taken on its own, the A168 is a very attractive watch...not just the retro appeal, but it's just plain aesthetically pleasing. It wouldn't be any more or less good-looking if it had a Tudor badge on it or a Timex one. It's simply a damn good watch. I have several significantly pricier ones in my collection, and the A168 still manages to get a ton of wrist time. A newer watch that has this exact same appeal is the Armitron Griffy, for the same reasons.

  I have a Citizen solar promaster diver. I'm very disappointed with pins that move in the sharp edged bracelet, a clunky 60 click bezel with a sharp bezel insert.

  FYI… Timegrapher works perfectly on a Seiko VH31b quartz mechatronic movement. It’s the first quartz movement I’ve owned that worked on a Timegrapher…. Useless but neat nonetheless.

  Im curious as to whether or not the iridescence is a coating on the strap or if it's part of the resin cast. Basically does it seem like the coating is durable enough to take the punishment of a g-shock or could you scratch it off by accidentally rubbing it against something?

  Not sure. I haven't scratched mine yet but I don't get the impression that the iridescence is something that would wear away easily.

  Just purchased this watch yesterday, paid $240 on Amazon. Nice side by side comparison with the Duro which I have and it's a nice watch but not as nice as the Citizen but again for $60 it's offers a lot for the money. The Citizen is a simple but masculine watch. I'm looking forward to it's arrival.

  Hello! I’m new to dive watches and had a question- Read your description regarding the 120 ticks for the bezel. Does it make any audible sounds IE actually make a clicking sound? Unsure if your video had audio covered over it or was done live. Thanks in advanced!

  Yes they do make a sound. There is something called a click spring under the rotating bezel. It has two raised parts that causes the bezel to only rotate in one direction. There are grooves on the underside of bezel . Those two raised parts are what is making the noise when you rotate bezel.

  Yeah I like this one. Sumo has what is considered a higher end 6R35 movement though. Still have both in the collection.

  To this day, I have never seen a scratch on any of my watches with hardlex crystal. Maybe I've been lucky. I have seen them on my Orient mineral crystals though. This watch is still in my collection.

Do you notice any inconsistency in the lume on the hour and minute hand? I feel like the lume is thinner around the middle of the hands. I wonder if I am seeing things or if this is a common characteristic of this model. Thanks for the great video.

  I have never replaced a movement before, but I need to do it for my watch that was a ST1901 chronograph movement. Do you think that's a bit too much for a beginner? 🤔 I also have a watch with a misbehaving NH35, so maybe it would be better to start with that... (Also, just an FYI: The singular form of the word "indices" is actually "index", not "indice" 🙂)

  It’s a piece of trash. Nothing is aligned. Even the dot of fluorescence material on the bezel is not centered. The hands and the digital screen are randomly related no matter how many times they are synchronized.
