the 38mm looks much better on your wrist... smaller watches always look better and I'm happy we're heading that way... 42mm would look fine until you tried a smaller one, which in this case is the new 38mm which looks so much better

What is your wrist size , does it fit well?

Great video! I have the older Seiko "Mini" Sea Urchin in 38mm and it is very similar to this, but without the hacking and hand-winding option that these have which I sorely miss on my Urchin

That SNZF29 is cool. I think the Urchin is better in 38mm also !

bought the classic black white version , perfect size for me but all colors are nice, simple classic

My gm5000 Casio gold. It's 42mm. I'm in the market for an 38mm. This will be my next goal to get. Thanks for making this video! Very good information

SRPE DressKX already just under 40mm. That,and no rotating bezel is why I think it is so popular already

It's actually a replacement to the Seiko SKX013.

I wonder if Canada Hudson's Bay gonna stock them?

Ever since i saw the mad watch collectors video on these and he pointed out the gold surround on the hands i can’t unsee it and it just makes an otherwise smart looking watch really tacky, I wish they kept it all the same with dial markers in my opinion

Would you recommend swapping out the bracelet to something else? If so, what!? I too have a smaller wrist and the watch fits snug and a little awkward with the clasp.

What I did for these two was to replace the OEM clasp with a replacement diver clasp from Uncle Seiko which has 3 micro adjustment holes. unclestraps.com/products/replacement-clasps?variant=37500165062844 You could also get these for cheaper elsewhere. I added a bracelet link back, then I use the inner most adjust hole on this new clasp and fits me perfect now. It will keep the OEM clasp in pristine condition in case I decide to resell also.

I think the OEM bracelet is fine btw. I have grown to not make a big deal out of the hollow end links and pressed metal clasp. Just as long as it pairs well with watch appearance wise and is comfortable on wrist. I'm not sure at this point if SKX013 after market bracelets are compatible with this new model. Seiko bracelets are dire. A rubber strap would be much more comfortable.

A simple mechanical movement does not use a battery and can be wound using the crown. An Automatic mechanical movement has a spinning rotor that winds the watch as you wear it. If you have an automatic mechanical movement like these Seikos and wear it daily, you would never need to manually wind the watch. You could even not wear these watches for about 40 hours and it would still be running and that is due to the 40 hour power reserve..

You have to wind it if you don't wear it regularly normally if you wear it all day it lasts 40 hours before it needs to be wound again if you only have one watch you wear it should keep running fine if worn all day and then taken off during the night as it will start to charge the movement when your up and moving again in the morning.

That’s a JDM MODEL right? It says made in japan on the dial
