Pretty sure the third eye thing is a literalization of actual IRL new age-adjacent weirdos. It isn't really called trepanation in relation to actual modern medical practices (apparently), just historically/archaeologically and doing it to expand your consciousness etc. Memorably, there is a documentary from 1970 called "Heartbeat in the Brain" depicting a woman drilling a hole in her own head. Your entire lead up to saying you shipped Thiam had me on the edge of my seat as someone who loves to read Thiam fanfic yet has watched like only season 1 of the show lmao, the fanfiction is so strangely consistently good. Like there’s a few fandoms/ships that have fanfiction where you can sort by kudos and open up a random fic and 7/10 times it’ll be well written and tug at your heartstrings and Thiam fanfic writers on ao3 are really just doing the damn thing (also could Jackson not just be bisexual!)

I hated Theo in season 5 they made him just so plan evil and it made him feel like he belonged in a different show (plus he was boring, I hate manipulative villains just cause I don't want to be filled with rage while watching a show, but it's so much worse when it's done bad and you don't get why anyone believes them), I did like him in season 6 but they feel like two different characters

I personally really like season 1 Scott, I don't really like hero characters I find them boring and I think later seasons Scott is definitely that, but in season 1 he is just a guy, he has conflict and character, and he IS a bad friend some times he's also way more charming/endearing (he feels like a teenager). I personally think that his actor kinda being bad at acting made the character a lot better and the more technically better he gets the worse Scott is as a character, he loses the charm of just being a guy.

The thiam portion of this video is sooo deeply real to me. As someone who didn’t get into the show until quarantine, but existed generally online, I had heard of thiam, so when I was watching season five I was so lost where it came from (and also hated Theo with a passion, not because he was evil but because he was one note and annoying) but then I got to season 6 and was like wait? What’s going on here? Unfortunately season six Theo is pathetic so I love him and in fact thiam is a deeply compelling dynamic to me and their scenes are some of the only ones in s6 I can rewatch

The thing that bothers me about the discourse about Stiles and Malia is that people say they are incompatible or became incompatible over time. I don't understand that. The whole reason why I bought and fell in love with their relationship is because of how much they understood each other and how they showed up for each other. Season 5 and their breakup was solely in favour of Stiles and Lydia, and it made no sense whatsoever. It's literally established from the beginning of their relationship, at Stiles' darkest moment, that Malia wouldn't judge him for the things he has done and Stiles appreciated her for that. Season 5 rolls around and Malia, like she said, doesn't judge Stiles for what he did to survive. Neither does his father, by the way. And all of a sudden, Stiles doesn't appreciate that when it comes from her. It's bullshit.

It is only most of the way through this video I realise that watching this as a pre-game / time-fill leading up to a stream of people playing werewolf is probably the funniest choice I could have made. I watched maybe the first 5 seasons or so when I was in middle school? but I got bored when they stopped doing as much monster of the week stuff and got more into big overarching plots. I did get a weird craving to rewatch recently but honestly making a Supernatural video sounds exhausting rn 😭 15 seasons!! I just love the drama of Destielgate and like to bring it up whenever I can lolol

weeeeeeee, Wolf Girl Spring here we goooo! I loved you're part one and the look at the original 80's teen wolves videos, I was so hyped for this one and was not let down it was a blast!!! I'm right there with you enjoying the more lighthearted, goofy tone of the first two seasons, in fact the more edgy third season turned me off the show so much I wasn't really rushing to watch 3b when it aired and I kept hearing stuff from my friend who kept watching it that made me more and more reluctant to pick it up again so I ended up never finishing the show. It just wasn't the same show I fell in love with for a brief time there anymore, it was still the same haphazard worlbuilding and over the top supernatural teen soap opera plots that to me worked well with the less selfserious tone of the frist 2 seasons, but start to really bug me in a more "dark" and "mature" toned story, like I said it's edgy in a way I really don't vibe with. also I was a huuuge Sterek shipper at athe ripe old age of about 14 and despite /everything/ I still fondly think of the ship and the time I spent in the fandom so I'm shaking in my boots waiting for what you will have to say about that yjdhfgvjghv, but really looking forward to it too!!

the derek issue is basically the same with malia. she lives as a feral coyote for like 10 years after killing her family in a traumatic accident and within a short period of time after she's caught + turned back, she's in mexico sexy dancing on kira. all of a sudden she understands sexuality, the male gaze, etc. the audience is supposed to buy that she's "different" by her sometimes having messy hair or her growling at someone or her being lost in math class. but it all seems forced and suited for a moment. it's hollow. in reality she just seems like a moody teen girl rather than someone who's spend the majority of their life and development as a coyote. nowwwww i promise i'm not taking this teen show personally it just needed to be said!
