The undeniable point is that if it were you or me, the court will not grant us 5 days to go to a police station, and begin our sentence. the ordinary person found guilty will be immediately taken into the cells below court, and transported to the police station. The fact that he was allowed days to turn himself in , in the first place, and the fact that the police had not arrested him and issued a statement that they will not arrest him until his application is heard in the CC (as if they are the court making an order), has already shaken the judicial system and confirms that there are two laws, one for them and one for us. the courts, police , and ministers have raped this country and it is you and I , who remain occupied by fighting each other, by the race baiting and the trivial issues, that suffer. we are a largely distracted nation, led by wolves. like it has been said, divide and conquer.

Can you imagine every other defense attorney using this going forward, no one should be thrown in jail ever again. Just don't appear for any court appearances and everything will be fine, even if its contempt. furthermore, Magistrate court shall have jurisdiction going forward? Any normal person on the streets would of been behind bars by now... the SAPS will just send 2 officers to your residence at 1 in the morning and take you in. If anyone recall a certain father been arrested for buying baby formula under the curfew, just so he can feed his baby. Covid or not..

When Zuma first refused to appear before the Zondo Commission why didn't they issue him with a warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court or commission.They can't quickly put him on trial without following normal procedures .His refusal to appear before the commission should have been first tried by a lower court such as a Magistrates court.

No one is above the Law...even former Presidents...the Law is there to be adhered to & when you disrespect & disregard it you have to accept the consequences regardless of who you are...

It's easy to defend the law than defending a repetitive law breaker, a former president who should be the very custodian of the country's laws by virtue of societal standing, should be exemplary and leading the pack in upholding the law, instead the opposite is the case, hence he needs a more stricter punishment for ignorance.
