I am a bit perplexed... What is the purpose of the Zondo commission? Is the Zondo commission a court of law? Is there reason(s) why Zuma refuse to attend? Is the reason(s) investigated? Why are all the circumstances not clarified including the contempt of summons? How do you tie the contempt of court with the contempt of summons? Who has initiated the Zondo commission? What will an imprisonment achieve in relation to the progress of the Zondo commission? Is the imprisonment not prejudicial to the commission? What is the urgency if no other option?

Purpose and initiation refer to state of capture report. Imprisonment to set a precidence for those that might try to apply the same strategy in the future. The commission is no court of law, what gives you the impression it is? Zuma claims Judge Zondo is bias against him, matter has sort of being ventilated in the concourt and Zuma didn't seek relieve from concourt to stop court order from being implemented so further engagement on this is now opinion and gossip.

The commission went to concourt to try and get Zuma to appear they gave an order he disobeyed that order its no longer about the summons but about the court order.

If he is sentenced to 2 years in prison, how thy shall get the evidence of Mr Zuma as the Commission ends in June?

DCJ will draft his report with appropriate recommendations. Of course JZ and his legal team will take it on review, however I don’t know legally how his review will be seen since he didn’t submit any affidavits since 2018.

@@fortune2708 The Constitutional court is in trouble and I think they must try and find a way to escape this...they were used by DCJ so that they'll force JZ to appear before the Commission...They didn't took the matter to the Police Station/ Regional Court/ High Court. Why they took the matter straight to the Constitutional court ?

Sgananda bafo, I can assure you that the CC is in no form of trouble. DCJ hasn’t used anyone, the fact that CC hasn’t thrown the matter to a lower court tells you that due process was followed. JZ needs to account!!! No one is saying he’s guilty but he needs to answer, there is no way that over 40 people can implicate you at a commission as we write it off as politically motivated moves.

@@fortune2708 I too can assure you that the CC is in trouble...one is that DCJ took the matter to the CC to force JZ to appear before Commission, so now if he's given a 2 year sentence, will that make JZ appear before the Commission? When?, as the Commission is to end in June? Two is the simple one, watch the video again and listen carefully to the few questions asked by the Judges....something will tell you what is going on Khuzwayo mfwethu

What he said or not said or if the cat got kittens is not of concern at all. He defied a ConCourt order. Over and done and needs to be punished. No matter what he said or did. He defied and needs to be punished like any normal person. And more so where he swore to uphold the constitution.

Zuma is not above the law he has alot to answer to, in the best interests of the citizens of this country he must appear before Justice Zondo. Zuma's advocate is pathetic and has advised him in the most incompetent manner. In most countries Zuma would have been arrested and some executed.

why must he be arrested and executed? Is Mr Zuma corrupt, if yes why can't you lay a criminal charge against him with evidence. what about everyone who appeared before the commission. Is the commission court of law, what exactly does it seek to achieve?

JZ is just using the situation to consolidate support from the disgruntled, masses who are blind to truth, and the corrupt. And it's working. Once he's satisfied, he will apologize and appear at the commision.

At this point he has no choice to try and force a situation in the ANC, but to put the whole judiciary in question, that's taking it a bit too far.
