ZRO Delta Base is an Affordable and Lightweight AR-15

I’ve commented on the ZRO Delta before, and I still find it to be a very handsome rifle even months into this testing period. I got to run through a few mags before my first review. After shooting it a lot more, it’s certainly grown on me. The balance is nice, and it has proven to be an accurate shooter.
I’m not going to pretend like I’m the finest marksman out there. Far from it, but I do have some experience with AR-15 rifles. The ZRO Delta rings steel reliably and transitions well between targets.
The balance was the first thing that struck me when I picked up this gun. That balance translates well on the range, and it actually improves when you throw the weight of an optic on it. My U.S. Optics TS 1-6x draws the center of gravity well behind my support hand and in front of my pistol grip even without a magazine.

A gun review by an average veteran with real-world experience always carries more weight. That was very straightforward and practical. I will now recommend this rifle to a friend as his first AR platform.
Got this rifle as my first AR and I absolutely love it!! My model is specifically the “Range Ready” and so far I’ve added an Arisaka offset with a mounted Trijicon SRO, LWRC grip, and a Geissele flat bow trigger as my personal touches. Out of the box tho it was such an awesome rifle and ran and ran with no issues and I would highly recommend. Thinking of possibly upgrading my charging handle 🤔 but ultimately I am gonna add a suppressor which I think will complete this rifle set-up, unless I come across something I have to have! Awesome video btw, keep up the great work!
Thank you for this review.
I changed to stock and pistol grip for Daniel defense ones. Also changed out the charging handle because I’m a lefty
Dang I almost picked one of these up at my local shop yesterday! I hesitated to buy it because I was unsure how good of a rifle it is. I might have to go back and see if they still have one. After watching this, I’d like to see if my shop would come down from their marked up $1000 price tag… 11/29/2021 Edit: just ordered one today since y’all have such a great deal on this rifle online!
Nobody seems to mention is it t4 or t6 aluminum.. m4 feed ramps? Any chrome lined anything, nitrided? For the cost id assume no but the feed ramps and tempered rating matter to a lot
Hey, as someone who just bought one of these, can I slap the 17.76 Barrel and Hanguard on it to make it the LVOA? Or would I need to buy the Lower Rec as well?
Just picked up and “unbranded arms” for $550 new at my local shop. Looks identical, can’t find much on “unbranded” though.
I bought one of these but had trouble right away one the first 10 shots. My trigger wasn't setting and would jam against the bolt. I had to open it up to un-jam it. Has this happened to anyone else.
What ammo gave the best accuracy?
I can not out shoot barrel twist rates. Anyone else?
I bought their sister company version 'unbranded AR', after first watching your video. It's a GREAT lighter weight AR! I agree, super value for a non break the bank option. I was going to go with their 'lower' and then a bear creek arsenal upper (because it would be cheap). Glad I paid the extra $100 for the upper, much better quality/features than the bear creek. ZRO Delta proves they know how to keep things affordable, but offer some higher end features.

Nice
Just bought this today, looks and feels great! Have some issues though out of the box and want to know if anyone else has these issues? My mags won’t feed and catch into the gun unless I push almost as much as I can, but the lancer mag that came with it will feed for some reason, and all my mags are magpul. Also my safety selector is misaligned, but I think that’s an easy fix I hope.

My Lancer 10 round won't lock in place with the bolt closed either when the mag is fully loaded with 10 rounds. I suspect this is the issue Magpuls run into as well, people often load 28 or 29 rounds instead of 30 to prevent that. Other solution, load the mag with the bolt open. I'd play with it a little to see if either option is true.
What scope is that
Very nice for the price. Like the stock & pistol grip designs. What twist rate on barrel? I like 1 in 9 rate for a variety of projectile weights

It's usually a 223 Wylde with 1:8 twist.
Not a bad rifle. Great to see ARs that aren't Gucci 2K guns
I just bought this gun at the gun show for 450 👌🏻😎
I saw one of these at the store for 1200. Felt kinda cheap for that price. I went with the LWRC instead.

That's what they do, probably a 100% markup. I'll never buy one in the store again unless it's a major brand that they won't price gouge.

I wish reviewers would compare the item they are reviewing to a common base, like S&W M&P15.

@@mountainhobo wow lighten up Debbie Downer. I’m just saying that this rifle is probably a bit better than a standard M&P15. Those are pretty much the most basic of all basic rifles ha.
i read it backwards as base delta zero. i thought it was a video about the empire f**king a planet with star destroyers

Congratulations with your buy. Could you tell me which steel the barrel is made of? Is it 4140 or 4150?

@@ImOldGregg you do know that just a handful of factories/foundries make the major blank receiver parts, then sell them to other companies who give them specific features, mark them with their own branding, and build them up with whichever internal parts they choose, right? Very few companies, if any, manufacture their own receivers and machine all of their small parts in house from start to finish. Those companies that do sell very expensive complete rifles.
