Another entertaining vid Been using the zoom 100 for a month now and seem good for the price. Using snail 180mm floating rotor on the front and zoom 160mm floating rotor at the rear for a little ride bit more performance. Keep up the great work guys, have a great Easter weekend

I have recently converted 2 bikes to EBikes...one of which is also a Schwinn Boundary. On my Schwinn Boundary I put the TRP Hy-Rd calipers, and on my Mongoose I put the X-Tech. I use my bikes for commuting, so my experience is on pavement. The X-tech brakes seemed to need a bit of time to break in, but I really like them. I think they are a significant improvement over the stock mechanical calipers, and stop me with the added weight of the EBike components and baggage very well. They are not quite as good as the TRP brand, but those are the grandfathers and much more beefy also.

After a months of usage i can say they are really good if you don't heat them so much, like in city or contry roads. Problem is when you ride them with 160mm discs in downhill, they will start to heat too much, after pistons won't return to their position, brakes are getting worse and can't pull the lever, until they cool down. If i used them more and more in heat i think they will start to leak.

I know that I am not the only one to make this statement, but make sure that you bed the pads and rotors in before attempting to ride so you have good braking. Another thing is, some forks or even frames aren't designed to take the force of larger rotors and you may end up breaking the mounts off the fork or frame. Some forks will have a label with what the maximum rotor size allowed.

You need to get them adjusted better. They do close from both sides. You have to make sure both sides (pistons) are moving. They can get sticky in shipping. Would be happy to help. They are so strong it does take some getting used to but for the price of a our $125 they are hard to beat.maybe look into some different pads and possibly some new rotors? But if you can find the brakes at a good price then humor on it!! MT200'S arent bad either, they are about $40 cheaper.

I think no mater what you do those calipers will never have a confidence inspiring feel because the cable is going to flex, plus only 1 piston actuation is never goin to give you a good feel with a one piece rotor. Interesting on the brakes... I did think they might settle somewhere between cable calipers and a fully hydraulic setup, purely by virtue of what they are. Shame they couldn't figure out a way of actuating pistons on both sides. Might still be a good option for the likes of bikepackers and tourers who don't want the fuss of hydraulics. Maybe.

Might be man, but I am thinking about pulling them apart because people are saying both pistons should work. Actually on the Xtech HB-100 both pistons move against the rotor simultaneously. They're dual piston driven hybrid brakes. When you squeeze the brake lever you can obviously see both pads close against the rotor. So, it's not just one side moving against the rotor and against a non moving piston like it is on mechanical brakes.

Change the cables to pro level cable with kevlar jackets and you'll feel a real difference, I'm curios how well these will hold up over time. Also i believe most of the cable operated Hydro brakes activate both pads thats one of their selling points.

So if you have $35ish dollars and need a little improvement over stock, then these might be for you. If you have $65ish dollars and you want a big upgrade over stock, then maybe MT200's or some Tektro M275's would be a better choice. Had to grind down the adapters to get better pad contact and still the pads arent full in contact with the rotor. I loved Dice back in the day. I'm not sure about him in a tv show though, it might be too sad🤣. We had a opener tribute to you with some Twisted Tea on our newest video😜. Thanks man👍

Awesome channel, but if you want to show unbelievable deals in the bike world you have to show Alibaba and Aliexpress stuff. Build a carbon xc competition bike or just buy one for under 1000 bucks. Both Alis have ACTUAL enduro based components for your style of riding. Amazon isnt the place to shop for bike deals.

Hey brother Hve you seen our Taff build? 34mm stanchions and a sunrace stabilized groupset. It's pretty legit with a WTB wheeset🤣 under $1000 we try!!🤣🤣 Now we have tried those two you have mentioned but Ebay and amazon have buyers protection, so the risk is much lower and safer, not to mention affiliate links. We do hear a lot about the service and wrong products with those two as well. Idk we may try in the future again man but thank you very much for looking out and watching us! We do appreciate it very much, always can use some ideas!😉😉
