This has been helpful, thank you so much. One piece of advice though, when you use words to emphasize something, please keep them on screen for little bit longer.

Let's see the actual installation outside, mounting it to a wall, all the wires tucked in, and the covers on .

Fabulous. Thank you so much for doig this video. Others seem to make it something like spaghetti wrestling. With your video, clear and straightforward I am now able to pre wire our new bathroom led's with a motion sensor in the knowledge thaqt it will be correct. Other DIY video makers can learn a lot from your 'delivery'.

I'm guessing there's no pv sensor, so the pir only works at night?
@nigeloseman2703 жыл бұрын
Brilliant, by setting up a test rig like this has helped me test the existing PIR, but also now enables me to get the settings correct before the install unless unplugging and rewiring externally resets everything... saves running up and down the ladder and waving from ground level?

@@FrogsAngelsLondon I've bought one similar to yours. I'm having trouble with the height and detection. What's the minimum height for it to work properly? mine I think it's about 3 meters or bit more.

That's great but what I don't get is how do the manufacturers expect you to pass 2 cables thru the one grommet and still be watertight?

Join them in a separate weatherproof junction box, (either inside or outside the building) and run a single extension cable from the sensor wiring block.

Hi, may i know if always stay near the sensor. will the light always on or it will off and on back when time out?

If you stay perfectly still within range of the sensor, the switch will time out and the light will be turned off until you move again. Test your Ninja skills 😀

THEY WILL ONLY SWITCH HALOGEN HIGH WATTAGE LAMPS. If you are thinking of using these on LED lights, forget it !! They won’t work. Halogen lamps work on resistive load sensors and LED work on capacitive load sensors. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Both of my LED lights on each side of the shed have been working perfectly since I have posted the video. IE: a year ago !!! Either capacitive or resistive, I am happy with that set up and will keep it that way. Thanks for the great advise anyway. Hope it helps others

@@pigunderaroof . Well if that is what the specifications say, you are ok . My comments were based on the fact that I bought LED strips , same size as 500 watt originally in my lamp units and they didn’t work. After technical enquires, I was told about the resistive as opposed to capacitive loading and bought new LED drivers.

I am appalled at the level of OR LACK of safety in this video clip!, the Plug wire is NOT SECURED and there is clearly an attachment of wires using 'Electrical tape' ...how anyone can profess to show thousands of people how to connect an electriacl circuit using clearly unsafe wiring/plug is really beyond my comprehension.
