Still have mine now for 3 years and still working great.

Mine is ok when permanently on, but on auto it goes rapidly dim after a bright burst. The former seems to imply it's ok for charge. Anyway, before the video, I thought the LUX dial was a brightness control, then wondered why the light comes on during the day. No instructions came with mine!

Had mine for ages but it doesn't work with the solar panel plugged in permanently...does the switch need to be set to on or auto?

Seems to be on permanently regardless of settings.

How do I reset this model, I moved mine and it’s coming on in dusk and not turning on at night.

How long will it ligh up for? all ways on from night till all day?

I have bought several of these units over the years. They don't last long. I have had ANTS get into tiny holes in the light unit. I have had rain get into the solar panels. I sealed the solar panel plastic housing with silicon and moisture still destroys the glass panel over time. The electronics are not coated to prevent moisture either. I have opened several units to find some components rusted causing open circuits and shorted contacts. The batteries have been changed over recent years from 5-NICD pack to single 3.7 V NIMH cell. If the manufacturer would spray the circuit boards with waterproof coating and seal the units or make then so that moisture / rain cannot enter, the units might be wort a price increase. For now, wait for a 15 to 25% sale coupon and buy an extra unit for replacement when they FAIL. JwgK Houston, TX

Typical Chinese, they were so cheap I bought six. Opening them up and spraying the boards with circuit sealer and placing them out of the weather means they are still working two years later.

do i flick it up/down left or right for auto?

Every once in a while the light starts to flash on and off. Why? I have to turn the unit off and then on again the next day.

ours worked well for a year now doesn't come on with motion. It is charged & works in ' on ' position, but not motion auto setting.

Installed one last august, darn thing only comes on for 3 seconds no matter where the timer button is set.

Can it be installed out in the way that the rain is falling on the device?

Mine received sunlight from 7:30am to about 6pm. It stopped working after about a year.

how long does the solar panel last? i notice that the solar panel on direct sunlight looks like fuggy or looks like too old and not charging any more. is it okey to scrub the panels?

I have the same light but 100 LED. Light always stays on now... no longer reacting to sensor. Can this be fixed or thats it? Had it a little over a year.

Bought one from The Reject Shop in Australia ($40) and it's great! I modded it slightly by soldering a shorter cable, (32AWG white speaker cable) to the collector panel to look neater. Very easy, only about a dozen philips screws to open it. Saw 11.2-11.8V at the plug in bright conditions, so the collector seems efficient. Very bright and good light spread.

Hello, i have this product in France since 3 month, i didn’t havé problem, but now when i put on the LEDs are ok (the power is good), and when it’s on auto the power of thé LEDs are very low. Why? Wath can i do?

one year before i brought a new 60 led solar motion security light, it was working fine, i put a new battery yesterday (Ni-MH AA 900mAh 6.0V), it detect the motion but light will not cut off, time adjustment done correctly and LUX also minimum. could you please advice how can i solve the problem.

Anthony Egan . I have the same problem. I push the switch towards the unit and it comes on and stays on. This must be the over ride, so where is the on switch position , it only toggles in one direction.

I wrote an email to them, they replied with a reset sequence, it works fine now. People are buying these lights expecting a very bright outdoor light, they are not, we are using it for camping, for which it is great, giving us ample light outside the camper itself. Will probably buy another for the other side.
