A constant seal between the threshold cap and the door bottom is required to obtain performance from an exterior door unit. Only by obtaining this seal can air and water infiltration be prevented. However, "Real World" conditions, either during door unit assembly, door installation, or throughout the subsequent life-cycle of the door, often lead to a poor seal.
Endura Products is excited to introduce the latest innovative product in the Z-Series family of sills - The Z-Series Articulating Cap (Z AC) Sill - a sill system that acknowledges the challenging conditions of door unit fabrication, installation and maintenance, while negating the need for initial or ongoing adjustment of the sill,
Comprised of a patent-pending articulating sill cap and a dedicated door bottom, the Z-AC automatically self-compensates +/- 1/8-inch to create the perfect door seal under any conditions. The Z-AC helps overcome most problems associated with either inconsistency of the rough opening or margins between the sill and the door. Moreover, the flexibility of the sill cap materials and spring design allows the cap to adjust independently over the length of the door, resulting in a perfect seal even when one end of a 3/0 door system is under-compressed and the other end of the door system is over-compressed. For significantly tight margins, interchangeable bases are offered with the Z-AC System.
Comprehensive Independently Certified Testing has shown that the Design Pressure (DP) ratings of door units that utilize the Z-AC are improved by an average of 20% over systems which use standard sills, sometimes even doubling the DP rating depending on the panel and other components. Even problematic French Door applications witnessed up to a 15% improvement, with all French Door systems tested in conjunction with the Endura Multipoint Astragal achieving a rating of DP40 or higher.

I am glad you posted this video. My builder install the door and never adjust of it, and water was getting under the sill. Now I’m about to adjust it

Just received mine to replace the one on my exterior door. Do I also need to order a sill pan to go with it?
Seems like that moving piece would get jammed up with dirt pretty quickly from foot traffic.
I just purchased a masonite french exterior patio door with this seal, I wouldn't have purchased the door if I knew it didnt have a conventional adjustable threshold. The astragal on the normally closed side of the door has a spring loaded bottom seal... This seal presses against the Endura ZAC and creates visible light and a leak due to the greater spring pressure. I will contact manufacturer, I'm unsure how to fix.
How much cost we having 3 to 4 maiin door 3' appromax

I started this search 8 months ago. Your company and your distributors are the most unhelpful I have come across in years. Your distributors do not know the product. One tripled the price and told me it is a free market. I spoke to your sales department twice and got the run around. You gave me your dixon distributers and they had not heard of this product. Your Southern California rep did not return my two emails and 3 phone calls. To me you are the reason we buy from other countries. I am a building inspector, have performed over 14,000 building inspections from 600 sq feet to 400,000 sq feet in Southern California and reasonably influential in product recommendations. You suck big time.
