Literally the only thing the original series Gods arc has in common with the sacred beasts arc is that the sacred beasts are just copies of the God cards other then that there is no similarity, between them. When talking about characters Gx has some of the best and most noteworthy ones Zane Truesdale, Aster Phoenix, Jaden himself, Alexis Rhodes ect. In 5ds they even mention that one of the greats was "Truesdale" they didnt mention which one specifically but both (especially Zane) are considered powerful duelist, and though personally I think 5ds is the best everyone is entitled to their own option some arent as good *Cough* yours *cough*

Jaden has got to be the best Yugioh protagonist. He's just got so much attitude, spunk, energy, and undergoes such a great deal of character development unlike many of the other protagonists. His journey into darkness is also fucking awesome. Something about the other adventures just didn't hit me like Jaden's.

@@papanurgle8393 well season 4 never got dubbed by 4kids, that version ended with season 3 (and i think not even the final duel in that season) so people were left with a very underwhelming "that's it?" ending, not to mention it seemed as it jaden just straight up died, so i think the hate mostly comes from those people that never knew a season 4 existed (and it's not even their fault but 4kids for being retarded)

GX suffered the same fate as gen 5 Pokemon, which was hated in the beginning but the fans grew to love it years later.

Even though I love every protagonist in the Yugioh series, I think Jaden is the best out of all of them.

My Favorite Character in Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise,i just LOVE Jaden,and I greatly respect him,that's pretty much why I make Heroes my main deck in the game of Yu-Gi-Oh! and want to find a way to make Neo Spacians work since Neo Spacians and Dandilion are his creations. To me he's the best character in the franchise cuz he's pretty much my role model ever since I was a kid and onwards.I want be a lot like Jaden and have his happy go lucky nature and plus his design in season 4 is so badass its sweet perfection.

Jaden Omega There is a way to make Neo Spacian work tough it won't work on meta. 3rd and 2nd tier deck could be beaten by neo spacian. I remember defeating burning abys and Black wing with Neo Spacian. Tough i prefer using Elemental Hero then neo spacian. My favourit is Rainbow neos deck.

My favorite moments with Jaden are his fight with Yubel graduation duel with Yugi, his partnership with Alexis more towards the end when he reflects on his change and slowly regains his sense of enjoyment, and the heartfelt conversation they had at the end. although what does annoy me about him is how oblivious he was to Alexis' feelings for him. Jaden, buddy, you really missed out there. And the moments when he goes into Yubel mode

To be fair‚ when GX first started the outline of a 2500/2000 body wasn't really "affirmed" and flame wingman was hit ace‚ shining flare being an evolution (kinda like magician of Black Chaos). By season 2 they decided that Neos was a better option and the rest is history.

I’m late but the card was sentient , it affected people with some kind of virus that made them duel zombies and then yubel absorbed all the duel energy with the help of some evil professor . Made itself have a real body and later on dueled jaden so jaden fused with it

1:12 Zane Truesdale was the academy's best duelist not Jaden (until season 2 at least)

In the sub, judai went through 4 years, he had a year correspond to each season. He used super polymerization on yubel and the supreme king, so that’s why he sometimes is shown with brown and green eyes

The influence by his past was shocking when he fuse with yubel from the light of destruction.

I regret not watching GX when it first aired back when I was in high school Back then I mostly didn’t watch it cause I thought Jaden was “annoying” and most of the monster designs looked “stupid and derpy” Now I’m finally watching it from beginning to end and I actually really like it and the main reason IS bc of Jaden/Judai He’s really grown on me especially his personality which is full of optimism and enthusiasm In a way he’s like the Goku of YuGiOh with him being obsessed with dueling and super dense with everything else which I find hilarious 😆

His neo spacian monsters were marvelous with his elemental trademark heros except the dark side due to his incarnate dark influence.

Jaden unintentionally married Yubel, even though he had no idea what fiancee means. By using Super Polymerization on the Supreme King's spirit and Yubel's own spirit, he straight up married Yubel, or it might as well be at this point. Their fusion is permanent.

As a Duelist, I could relate to Jaden, I had weak monster cards but shined on the Spell/Trap and strategies my deck.

Since you've done both Jaden and Yusei, I was wondering if you'd ever do the manga versions of the later anime characters (since Duel Monster's anime was rather the same as the manga, whereas everything afterwards is drastically different). I ask because Jaden's backstory, while similar, is also rather different in the manga, being friends with one of his teachers as a young kid and the injury people suffered back then being due to a card unrelated to Jaden (at first).

+Achidi Kisob That sounds like an interesting idea for a series. Manga vs Anime. I think there is a channel that does something like that already but not for Yugioh will have to look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!

You forget to mention that he is absolutely flawless

While heading to duel academy of the fusion dimension when he met yugi moto from battle city he gave jaden the winged kuriboh card.

Jaden had proven his courage when aided by the souls banner and yubel when paradox arrived while with yusei and yugi with his aid atem.

Sorry, got to point this out. 2:24 His duel disk wasn't customized. During Senior year the entire school's duel disk equipment were upgraded. the other students got them with color schemes in correspondence of their dorms.

Man Jaden's my favorite so much that I wish they gave him, Yusei, Yuma, Yuya each a solo movie

His sidelocks are gorgeous! He might just become my favorite protagonist because his relationship with Yubel is so rough, complex and emotional.

If you're thinking of doing another Protagonist profile, do you think you could add Yuma to the list? I know a lot of people dislike him, but do you mind at all?

Fun fact, I was the one who originally added an entry in the yugioh wiki about Jaden's physical abilities. Nothing mentioned it before my addition, and that was later refined and added upon by more active wiki users. But I was the first.

although people usually like yusei or yugi more, i actually like judai the best even among the six different series of yugioh. I always thought he was the most relatable.

I'll be honest I don't take the English GX seriously because it doesn't try to take itself seriously, because the English version makes Judai(I refuse to call him by his American name) a big clown. Thats all he was. While the Japanese version knew when Judai needed to be funny or serious. And thats what made his character development feel more realistic. And I think the only reason 4Kids decided not to dub season 4 was because Judai turned into a kill joy. "Aw we can't make any funny puns anymore with Jaden frowning all the time now!" Anyway you did a great job describing his character! But you did leave out the part where when the supreme king took over, Judai basically committed mass murder. And I'm not talking about his friends, I'm talking about those innocent people who were also dragged into the that realm and got slaughtered by his dark fusions and army.

The only reason why season 4 was never dubbed was because they needed to get 5D's out there asap.

LoonyLenLady Judai is more awesome in manga version

jaden was shocked when he encountered his long lost card since childhood when he was a child he dueled his first opponent but loss as Shepard explained to his colleagues which concerns them for jaden as they tag along with him to save Jesse Anderson.

I actually have most Jaden's cards from his Elemental Hero deck. I'm only miss one or two cards. My personal favorite would have to be Elemental Hero Tempest.

best protag imo. love his growth, the duels, etc... yami-yugi is hard to say best because they shared the same spotlight. i don't care what anyone says yusei is still a mary-stu character. there were a ton of times they could've made yusei lose w/o sacrificing the plot, especially against team unicorn. they could've made him lose his first duel vs antinomy/bruno too. zexal 2 yuma is pretty underrated tho ngl (watch original version). the rest of the ygo's I think are wack lol

The souls of yubel and banner are part of his aid of any situation until paradox came.
