I feel like of any of the Dark Signers, Roman Goodwin would play a Earthbound deck. Rex however, I actually see playing a Tenpai deck. I just get a similar vibe from the Tenpai cards that I do from the Sun and Moon dragons

To this day, it will never make sense to me why the Red Dragon Archfiend monsters are DARK Attribute rather than FIRE Attribute. I mean, to an extent, I get it, going with the Archfiend overall archetype being DARK Monsters; but still, considering how prevalent the motif of fire is for those monsters and Jack as a whole, I just feel like those monsters should be FIRE rather than DARK

Shame they didn’t bud season 4. In terms of being to dark.. they could use the whole shadow realm thing like they did in season 1 really. There would be edits still but it could have easily been done.

I think Luna could play an Adventure/Brave deck. A lot of monsters included in this archetype are random fantasy/RPG characters, just like her anime deck, Rite of Aramesir/Curse of Aramatir representing two versions of the Spirit World, one before Ancient Fairy Dragon was freed and one after that, synergy with Ancient Fairy Dragon through field spells and Adventure archetype is usually used as a supportive engine for other decks, which would fit Luna's role as a supporting character for other Signers. 21:53 Also, Fleurdelis photobombing the family photo, lol

I love that you've recognized that Kuriboh is pretty much the runner-up to Dark Magician as Yugi's ace. Like literally in the Bonds Beyond Time tenth year anniversary, Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Kuriboh were Yugi's only monsters to appear in the film.

Interestingly the original manga version had no ties to Pegasus or Duel Monsters. The entire arc it appeared in in fact was very loosely reworked into both the one we see in the anime as well as the Bandit Keith vs Yugi duel. One notable difference is that it's actually Yugi who plays the game and not Yami which proves that Yugi's skill is entirely his own.

When you find out they can't attack directly it makes some of their decisions to play creature's into certain death kind of puzzling. Like joey vs bones losing creature after creature or yugi against mais shadow of eyes/mirror wall combo

The best thing I like 2 do when my opponent summons King Calamity on my turn is to just take their turn with my buster blader fusion monster and make them surrender

I feel in this situation it can't count as a loss. In normal speed duels, crashing definitely should but this wasn't an "official" speed duel it was instead a "Dark signer" duel so it could be that the soul stealing only happens if the dark signer of the duel is able to reduce the opponents life to 0 which would then.. reduce their "off-of-duel" life to 0 (Kill them)

Personally, I truly believe that Yugi/Atem is the true mascot of Yugioh. Any time Warner Bros/Konami released any commercials or previews back in the cable TV days, it was always Yugi that showed up. Plus, Dan Green who voices him has gained the most amount of recognition thru this anime. And besides, in season 1, we got that history intro before the main themed played of the Millennium items and the initial premise of the anime which was amazing. Another thing to mention with Yugi is that in the movies/future series, he's the only character that still uses the 1st official/OG duel disk.

One fact you forgot to why Destiny Board wouldn't work, if he kicked it off sooner, Yami's Millenium Puzzle would've kicked in, and since a "you win the game" card is as situational as it gets, he would've drew a card to destroy it
