Just watched the video and found it to be very helpful. I have been taking liquid cod liver oil every morning for the past 20 years to treat my arthritis and it works very well. Not a cure just treatment. Still enjoy my bike, diving and weight lifting. I am 69yrs old. After watching the video I am convinced that vitamin D is a major factor in my good health. I would also suggest reading the book. "The new arthritis and common sense" by Dale Alexander.

I love all your videoes, long time subscriber, but this one was even better. Very relaxing and calm, some videos can be a bit stressful and “commercial-like”. I’m feel so lucky to get all this valuable information for free, thank you so much! And happy New Years!

I didn't know Vitamin D was something runners use, but I take it every day per my neurologist's instructions. There's a correlation between Vitamin D deficiency and MS (being farther north of the equator increases your risk of developing MS symptoms). It has a lot to do with the autoimmune system/brain health.

Latitudes north of Atlanta, Georgia don't have enough direct sunlight for the human body to effectively produce enough Vitamin D through sunlight exposure. I've taken 6,000 IU per day D3 in supplement form (cheap and easy) for a year and had a 25(OH)D test result of 55 ng/mL which is in the middle of the reference range of 30 to 100 ng/mL. The Vitamin D Council indicates toxicity can develop at doses greater than 10,000 IU/day, and serum concentration of 150 ng/mL is where toxicity can be seen. Vitamin D is a prohormone important for so many things in the body that Coach Elizabeth mentioned. Need to take Vitamin D with K2 as another comment mentioned so pastured eggs, pastured butter, liver and natto (yummy!) are food sources of this.

I dont absorb the supplements but wondering: if vitd is produced/absorbed by your skin, then can a vitd lotion work better?

Ways to get faster would definitely be consistency, balance, and set. You have to be consistent with your running and/ or fitness. If you are not consistent. You will never stay as fast as you want to be. You need to make sure you are balancing your different runs. What days should you do hard workouts (intervals/ fartleks), moderate workouts (fartleks/ tempo/ progression), and easy longer runs. You have to have determination to a set training plan that you can complete. If you would like anymore information that I can offer, check out my KZread channel. I just made my introduction video for my channel. I am a young person but I have spent countless hours researching about running. I will be offering more tips and entertainment in my next few videos. I post every week on Monday.

Thank you for this! I was vitamin D deficient and started noticing some weird symptons. I uploaded a video to my channel about my daily vitamin routine ever since a blood test told me what I was deficient in. I would love if you could check it out and give me your feedback on if I am taking the right supplements. A sub would be great too! Thank you!
