For most of the series I have liked him. I turned on him for about a year... at the end of season 5 when he fired Mary, but then I turned back in favor of him at the end of season 6, when he donated money to get Sheldon to Germany, when he grounded his evil niece, and when he promised not to fight against Mee Maw's gambling room but instead to help her out... and he has continued to win me over this season.

50 bucks. Groceries from a week. Thrifty ice cream was 5c a single, 10c for a double, and 15c for a triple. Gas was 1.15 a gal. Bread was like 59c. Milk for was a buck 50... and that was in the 80s .. holly shit. I feel freaking old. If you had a pager in the 80s... You where a drug dealer. My dad got one of the first cell phones, it came in like a purse you had to carry and the receiver was big... Donkey Kong, PAC man, pong, Atari, modems that you had to connect to your computer and put your home phone on that modem box so it could dial out. Damn those days where good if you just knew a little bit of DOS and you could hack anything..... Pinball machines.... You would just shake the game and move your ball but not to hard or you got tilt... For me.... This was a bad ass time.. go to van Halen concerts, ked zeppelin, ac/DC, kiss, etc, and when you wanted to like a few songs from wham and boy George it was like being a closet gay. To vibiing with Devo, and the begging of rap and poo locking and break dancing.. and your parents made you listen to country music and tell you that this music is telling you about life.. I remembered Kenny Rodgers song something about 409 woman and crops in the field or something like that. Then I understood what my dad was saying. He had 10 of us and we where born on a farm and moved to California... Damn that was good days.

He one-upped Mee Maw not by saying anything but by cancelling a commitment that he had with her when an opportunity to do something else came along right after she insulted him.
