For a long time, his character on the show would remain mute, usually due to being interrupted by his wife. As noted above, this eventually changed.

@Christopher Bingham Kids grow out of phases. Young Sheldon is much more sociable, while BBT Sheldon would rather be an introvert. The characters aren’t completely the same, but we can chalk it up to the “incident” not happening yet, the one that rips the family apart and changes their attitudes.

I think that Mr. Fowler is played by the magician Teller, of Penn and Teller. He makes a point of remaining silent during the act. It seems that when was starting out, in college, audiences were less likely to heckle and throw beer cans at him; they also paid more attention to his performance.

I still find it astonishing that the actors playing young Georgie and adult George literally look so similar with their face and hairstyles (I know they had hair stylists backstage to do that) but still it's super cool. Their attitude as the character is the same too. Great casting, must admit.

Georgie being so amused by Amy loving his accent is so funny after watching the Young Sheldon episode where Mandy and her family give Georgie a hard time about the way he talks.

Amy had often talked about her mother and we had already gotten the impression that mom was a controlling, domineering person- - so it was great moment of casting and acting to see that in person, she is exactly what we thought she was like..

Yep, Jerry (Georgie) is 6’2”; Jim (Sheldon) is 6’1”; Courtney (Missy) is 5’9” what’s really crazy though are their ages. In real life, Jim is older than Jerry! Jim was born in 1973, Jerry in 1974, and Courtney in 1978.

I was wheeze laughing at that scene and my husband elbows me because he’s seen me do that reaction to spending more than a few minutes with his mother… many many…many times 😂 We usually rotate in shifts so no one has to spend more than 30 minutes alone with her without a buffer. I always tell myself eh it won’t be so bad. Then end up doing that Penny omg omg walk every time 😂😂😂

I love sheldons mom 😅😂 "her husband would be here but he stayed watching their oldest child... so you know everything is fine(in sarcasm laugh) totally made me spit my drink

Anyone else realize that Courtney Henggeler who played Missy Also plays Amanda LaRosso, on the Netflix show Cobra Kia I am completely shook who did I just realize that lol 😂.

Wouldn't you blame her, her one night stand Roberto left her pregnant then married a Magician and had Amy she doesn't want him to leave her like Roberto did when she was raising Bobby

Telle is one half of a long standing magic team, Penn & Teller. They’ve had their own Las Vegas show for decades. So part of the joke is Howard amazing Amy’s dad with magic, when in real life P&T have done some incredible stuff, and the fact that when Teller performs anything with Penn, he never speaks, Penn does all of the speaking, so that was another bit of a joke when the character spoke. (Even during interviews Teller never speaks). They also have a television show call “FU” do Fool Is. Magicians perform magic and if Penn and Teller know how the trick was done, the contestant loses. However, if Penn & Teller cant figure out how the trick was done, they get a trophy and the chance to open/perform during one of their Vegas shows. Penn & Tellers show is very dark in humour. Good them and let us know what you think of them.
