Growing up in Halifax and living in the area for many a years now, the changes have been great and mostly marvelous! The opening up of the waterfront has been one of the best! Remember Barrington being the shopping hub and travelling the streets on the overhead powered busses...yes, I remember those...lol...Indeed, look at that, those Public Gardens are pretty special! Tulips will be coming after the Daffs...the noon guns...epic! Thanks for the day!

Theodore tugboat, the tall ship Silva and the Harbour Queen are all docked at dewolfe park in bedford. If you go behind the Sobeys in Millcove you will see all three. So don't worry Theodore isn't gone :)

Hi guys, really enjoyed this video of Halifax. Just a note on one of the reasons the fountains get fenced off is because so many perhaps students pour dish soap into the fountains and it creates not only cute suds but burns out the pump motors, because the soap foam is full of air and fills the motors with air and air locks them. The maintenance costs and shuts down the fountain for many weeks. Just a note on that.

Great video on a picture perfect spring day. Look for the tulips in about a month,( late May). Spring Garden Road does have one of our favourite Halifax restaurants, La Fresca! The scallop linguini is to die for!!! Keep up the great work, and I’ll keep looking for you guys on the street!!!

Great video..nice to hear from people who actually live there. Never been to Halifax, but visiting in 2022 and staying on Bland Street. Hope that is a good location and close by some restaurants and the museums and harbour.Keep up the great reviews!!

Thanks guys for taking me on another tour of your amazing city. We've actually never been out of lockdown since March 2020. Were currently on level 1 when our infection rate has been the lowest. But it seems the stats are creeping higher and there's talk of a possible 3rd wave with winter approaching. But as always we try to remain positive. Take care.

The Buskerfest and the Tall Ship Regatta in Halifax are my favorite time to be down on the waterfront. I've visited Nova Scotia south shore every year X2020 since 1986. We will be back in 3 weeks!!

I drove truck for Saputo for 10 years and delivered to restaurants and pizza places the whole time we have some great mom and pop shops with great pizza and donairs.

@@DelightfulTravellers they were a great company to work for I would still be there if they didn't go all owner operator with the trucking. I delivered to the north shore New Brunswick on Monday and Tuesday and all of PEI tip to tip on Thursday and Friday out of Moncton. I work for New Brunswick DTI now as a equipment operator drive plow truck in the winter and grader and asphalt truck the rest of the year.

I lived in Halifax city for eight months , It was a great experience. 😩

Ive met amazing people from cape breton 😂 , hopefully shortly ill have the opportunity to transfer to Halifax to help with restoration of homes not only from the wildfire but also dating back last year from hurricane Fiona. Many blessings east coast, I look forward to seeing you soon regardless of the fragile state you may currently be in ❤

Thanks for this lovely video. Your videos are always interesting, especially as we plan to move in NS in couple of years. I would like to know more about living in Annapolis Valley (or the in land near by). We almost bought a house in Springfield before Covid, but now our project is post-poned a little bit. But definitively, after visiting all Nova Scotia, we want to live near Annapolis Valley. We are from Quebec (in Gaspesie).

I visited Halifax before and I hope I can move there some day future.

Hey there! Love the videos! I'm looking to visit Halifax (and Lunenburg) in a couple of weeks from Montreal. Is the lockdown still in place or have things begun to open up? I'm interested in traveling the 2nd week in June. Thanks!

You guys always have great sunglasses. If you haven’t already, I strongly suggest checking out Gaudet Optical if you haven’t already, it’s appointment only right now (covid), but if you like funky frames and exceptional customer services, their store would make a great video.

I want to go some day and explore

I am a pastor who lives just north of the MacDonald Bridge in north-central Dartmouth and pretty much a life long Haligonian. You might find the US Military Cemetery in Melville Cove, also known as Dead Man's Island. There is a memorial service on the last Monday of May each year. There is Fort Needham, York Redoubt, McNab's island and Heritage Village in Lake Charlotte. Sand castles on Clam Harbour Beach are awesome in August. There's lots to see! I am a Halifax history buff and I know a gentleman who is a profound historian who could give you a lot on background. I would love to meet you sometime on the streets. BTW: Theodore Too has been sold and will be leaving for Ontario sometime this spring (departure is COVID dependent). Stay safe and god bless! Love your travelogues!

The large glass building on Argyle Street is the Nova Centre which houses among other things the Halifax Convention Centre.

Good video, but I live here, I really don’t know what else to do in this small city tbh... I think by far, I like Chester in Nova Scotia, and that’s it. People say Cape Breton is good, I will check it out after this lockdown, probably in summer. Thanks for sharing.

There's lot to do in Halifax Henry. Food is a big one as we have so many amazing restaurants but of course right now they are closed. Other great towns: Wolfville, Lunenburg, Baddeck, Inverness and many more. We also have a ton of beaches 😀 - Trevor

We love living in Nova Scotia it’s a beautiful place to visit

It's funny how video doesn't really show how steep the roads are walking up from the waterfront towards Citadel hill🤪. I may or may not have done the 3am walk up to pizza corner🍕😉😋. Great video 😊👍

Yes a good tip - when I moved to Halifax I started to wear flats downtown because hiking in heels are not fun!

That's funny...right at the end there was a biker going past in the background who was waving. And sorry to see that you guys are on lockdown. We are here too in Ontario. And, saw a Smokes Poutine in the background on your way to get the pizza. Being from Montreal, of course I tried Smokes poutine when one opened in my city and I was not impressed. It was not authentic. Maybe it's better now because that was a few years ago. Anyway, take care and stay safe.

Great video, looking forward to the series. I researched authentic, timber boardwalks worldwide last year and expected Halifax to make a good showing. I actually couldn't find anywhere that had an authentic timber boardwalk even close to Halifax. Can anyone tell me of one? Obviously there are good non-timber boards walks but none that I would want Halifax to trade with.
