As I planned my trip around the downtown (with a tour of Peggy’s Cove last time I was 10), I chose the Hotel Halifax. It was not the cheapest price I got booking 5 month in advance, nor the closest to the activities and restaurants I want to try. Chose it on other ratings on websites and what they offer. Wonder if I chose right as many of the hotels offered just as much. Criteria:

Come in the summer when there are so many things - music festivals, Rib Fest, Naval Days.......

I lived in Halifax over 25 years ago and yes I like Donairs too. I will be making a trip there this late summer and definitely will look for a Donair. From videos Halifax looks a lot more vibrant now but a lot of the familiar old charming bits are still there.

The baguette at LF is like what I've had in Paris... so good. Definitely best bakery in HFX.

Since I’m not renting a car, and staying on the edge of downtown core (Hotel Halifax). Most videos show you can get most places walking 30 mins or so… but an I rent and how much for about 4 days?

I live in the waterfront area and love Halifax vibe … first time seeing both of you and enjoyed your Halifax food tour. ❤

I'm not that fond of donair sauce either, but for an awesome donair, go to Euro Pizza above the Armdale Rotary on the St Margaret's Bay Road and order it with tzatziki sauce instead of donair sauce. The garlic goes way better with the spiced meat. Best donair around. Nick the owner makes his own tzatziki and pita in-house, and was responsible for bringing donairs to Halifax.

In the last few years, there have been so many restaurants come and go, and I've worked at a few Halifax restaurants in my day, so I really understand how there's so much foodie culture here. I still live in HRM but I'm no spring chicken anymore, so it's not as easy for me to explore the foodie scene. I appreciate channels like this highlighting the awesome places to eat here. Loved the tour of Tracey's hometown. Reminded me a bit of Bergen, Norway, at the waterfront. Did you find driving confusing after Kenya? Haha! We are coming to Halifax the end of Sept for a weekend. I cannot wait and this is a cool video. As an American, I can honestly say the food I have had in Canada is just as good as Europe. QC has an amqazing food scene and Toronto has the best india, sushi amd chinese I have ever had

I am going to Halifax late April. can you tell me what font you used for the name at the beginning of your video? (want it for the top of my itinerary). including Neptune Theatre which is the main part of my vk/trip to halifax, what else is there late april?

The font is just the Halifax logo used by the city. In terms of what to do well the waterfront should be more up and running in April so that is super cool. If you like nightlife than I suggest doing a little bar tour to the lower deck, dirty nellys and many more as well. :)

The guacamole looked that good. I’ll find a new spot for The Bicycle thief.
