BEST THINGS TO DO IN HALIFAX Travel Guide (Nova Scotia)

In this video, we'll show you all the cool things to do in Halifax, Nova Scotia, such as exploring the national historic sites, visiting one of the oldest breweries in Canada, experiencing immigration to Canada, and more!
We re-visited Halifax in October 2021 and decided to combine footage from 2017 to make this video about things to do in Atlantic Canada's biggest city. It's a beautiful place and I hope you not only learn something about Halifax but that we inspire you to visit!

Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. I lived in Halifax in the early 2000s. I LOVED it!! Beautiful, clean city, amazing people, and TONS to see and do. I shared a two bedroom apartment with an actor who would go on to play one of the cops on the Trailer Park Boys. Fantastic, great times...miss it VERY much!!

My Dad's family arrived in Quebec City in 1949, and my Mom's family arrived in Halifax in 1950. We visited Pier 21 back in 2009 and it was something special to be in that building where my grandparents and their children had been so many years prior. The video presentation at the north end of the building was very cool; it appears to be in 3D without any special glasses. We also visited the Maritime Museum, and it's definitely the best one I've visited. Didn't have time for the Citadel or St George's Island; maybe next time! We drove all the way around both Nova Scotia and PEI in a single week, so it was a whirlwind tour.

We loved Halifax, were there a few years ago. We also went to Pier 21 museum looking for details on my Dad who arrived from Greece in '52. I already knew the ship and have his passport that was stamped. They were able to get me some history but couldn't provide me detailed info because of privacy laws since he passed away within the last 15 years. Was happy with what they were able to provide, so glad we went. Looking forward to going back to Halifax. We are from Ottawa and are looking at driving to Montreal and taking "The Ocean" train to Halifax to spend a few days and back for a different experience. This video gave me some good ideas of things to do when we go back...thanks

From experience, when I was a lot younger, DON'T SLIDE down the WATERFRONT WAVE. When you are 19 and drunk it seems like a fun idea. It's very abrasive paint to prevent slipping. That by experience will absolutely rip your jeans apart and drive those firbres right into your skin. One of the stupidest things I ever did.😂😂
