There’s a pathway in this mod to form Hattusa/ Hittites from a small Luwian state. A sovereign Egypt begins strong, Assyria is a great power, and you got Babylon and Elam. You can play as Etruscans, Iron Age Celts, an early Mongol Emprie as Xiongnu, and 100 or so Scythian hordes. Basically, you get to play every single ancient nation that isn’t in euiv or ckiii and you don’t have to shoehorn those countries in as custom nations with ms paint flags. It’s worth at least 3 campaigns for the world it portrays, probably better than imperator tbh.

@@LDaz no hate on imperator, I can’t personally speak to how good it is. I’ve just heard it got less attention from paradox, and comparing the time periods I think imperium has a better variety of states to choose. I’ll definitely have to try imperator at some point.

Here's a challenge for you since you mentioned you actually do like playing tall in other games, just normally not Paradox games due to the way they're made: For the absolute best tall Paradox experience, try playing CK2 with the Great Trade League and Medieval Trade Routes mod. The Medieval trade routes mod, rather obviously, expands the amount of trade routes across the whole map, making it more interesting and easier in a lot of places to play tall. The Great Trade League, however, is the bread n' butter of the tall experience, allowing you to interact with the market and play hyper-tall, becoming a merchant, searching your realm's resources, and eventually even getting a special bloodline as a legendary merchant, I bet this'll make you like playing tall in CK2 a lot more.

You NEED to try this EU4 mod! i would if my pc could fucking pass 1 year

Related idea for CK3 challenge using The Fallen Eagle mod: start as anybody and recreate Carthage while adopting and reforming the Canaanite religion (it exists in the Amazigh category).

Love the mod content, please do more! Also the mod has it’s own graphics sub mods if you want those

So happy you played this mod, I used to play it a while ago and i remembered it being fire, although they did make assyria much much easier without all of the rebellions to deal with at the start... Not still salty at all that they updated right after i won as them in hard mode.

Its honestly scary how much it made your frames chug, but I love the period and it looks so fun! I would love another video on this mod.

When I played this mod a while back, I also played as Carthage and Rome was also doing terribly in my game... So I allied them and built them up specifically so I could later kill them. It was very satisfying.

I love how it looks, but the way they treat inflation is pretty much a cartoon.

I DEMAND ANOTHER! I mean, some Sparta wouldn't be amiss, very much suits your personality. 😂

Victoria 2 is great for playing tall and as for playing on an island and having interesting game as a small nation shattered world is nice

In this mod you can play as Qin and unite China! Wish tho that there was a separate Warring States Period timeline with missions...

Finally, and I only needed to ask once months ago instead of everyday for months

I've had so much fun in this mod for a couple of days. The map is huge. -new world, but most states have over triple the amount of provinces in them. Greece has like 500 cities in it alone ._. Sparta is very tricky, you should try them once, Greek nations have the Aegean league which is a fun overlord mechanic which can make you have 20 vassal states at the same time, its crazy vassal swarming once you get to the 250s/500 bce but so much fun. :D You can easily play tall when you win sieges on provinces with more than 6 population, as you can choose to pillage the city or ask for tribute. Once you peace them out, you get insane amounts of ducats. As you can see that Laith gets 80 ducats once he peace them out at the end even though it only said they would give him 42. He got 5% of the provinces ducats income yearly (i think) because he enslaved the populace. If he had sacked the city. He could probably have gotten like 400 ducats or something crazy like that.

as far as a tall campaign goes, there's an achievement you can get as Great Britain called "An Industrial Evolution" that may be of interest to you, just so you have some sort of "tall" goal to go for.

Dynamic Population Mechanic? My ears deceive me! You know what else has dynamic Population Mechanics? Meiou and Taxes. But still, this is one step closer to my final goal. Watching you play meiou and taxes. I wonder how much I would have to donate (bribe) for you to finally play it XD

Laith, you need to play the Third Odysessy Mod. You basically play as Byzantium and escape to the New World. I swear it won't be as painful as the West Rome to Rome campaign.

Not disabling subcontinents is your decision, it's a better solution than removing parts of the mod people worked on for ages. Everything used to run fine until 1.32 update and developers went out of their way to create decision that turns off parts of the world to increase fps instead of removing years of hard work.

This mod was so good before the modders got carried away and now there's no way in hell my computer can play it :(

They are also making "less countries bookmark" and some other things that should help with performance in 3.1 update if Paradox stop fixing what they broke in 1.32

I remember playing this mod years ago back in 2016-2017. For the last year I've been trying to get this mod to work, now as "Imperium Universalis 3.1.2 (Growth of Empires)" but it always crashes my game. I've tried several other past versions of EU4. Looking at the comments of the mod it seems the complexity has exploded, and most people have trouble running the mod past speed 2 unless they disable continents to run smoother.

Have you ever played MEIOU and Taxes? If you like lots of buildings and population theres the eu mod for you.

Only issue I've found with this mod is the AI does literally nothing in terms of expansion. It means you really don't have much in the way of rivals or challenge as you progress in the game.

one of the reasons i like thie over imperator, is the fact you have a lot of sifferent other civilizations, the imperatir start date to me is a little meh because of the fact that 3 tp 4 of the major states are basically just greek/makedonian mixed with something else
