it makes no sense because the last known umayyad mysteriously "dissapeared" in the 11th century tho theres a dude from 16th century granada who called himself an ummayad and to this day the benjumea family descends from him

@@jaif7327 Why does it make no sense? There was heavy political in-fighting and eventually Al-Andalus, just Iberian Peninsula became its own sovereign state.

@@Ami14120 yeah. it might make sense from the standpoint of claiming the legitimacy of being their successor in the same way everybody claimed to be roman but really wasn't roman. but since they aren't there, it makes no sense from that standpoint.

Quarbit, my friend, you can stack treasure fleet income far more than that. If the colony is crown colony, there is a subject interaction that gives 20% more treasure fleet income. That's not just for the gold of that colony, it's GLOBAL modifier. If you have 12 colonies with that, it's 240% increased treasure fleet income : ) If you take other countries colonial nations, you can go even beyond that. In my portugal game, i had more money than the one qing game were I exploited the debase currency / recruit banners trick.

It does not. Minas Gerais translate to general mines, cuz, you know, they are the general mines of that region

@@Quarbit true. which means that i should probably start doing that in my eu4 games, i just realized. i always keep my army on max maintenance and i realize that's kind of dumb.

Re reconqiata is really fun especially if you push into France because it turns into you vs all of Europe REALLY FAST😅

tip on the maintenance thing with your colonies. I find the free company are great for that. You can lower youre maintenance and then just forget about it.

province war score is influenced by the development of the country who owns it. big countries reduce the war score of each of their provinces (hover over the province ws cost to see)

Call for peace is one of the worst mechanics in EU4. Strong remainder from when the game was developed with a focus on MP balance
