    @@countbosnia I wouldn't, but only because I don't like being alive anyway. :D Totally cool with you eating me in a survival situation, though. The body is nothing more than a collection of tissues which support brain function. Once brain function has ceased, there is nothing left of the person you knew. It's not like they care.

    @@atomicphilosopher6143 hahah I feel that. I say that I wouldn't try it but the brain dissolves into some interesting states when it is nearing starvation or death so you never know what you're capable of. I'm sure it would change a person having to resort to that but for some, it isn't as disturbing as it is for others, Idk it would probably disturb me a lot but like i said, when starving you think differently

The flavour power was that explosive before being mixed that the drum it was kept in had to be grounded to avoid sparks. i heard about one guy that didnt gorund the drum properly and it exploded leaving a 3m hole in the cinder block wall behind it. that area of the factory was closed for like 6 months while it was inspected and repaired.

    As a life-long learner, who actually did a paper in college on the subject of foods through history, most of this I knew. It won't stop me from enjoying honey - usually locally sourced, unfiltered raw, and a couple other items on the list. Luckily for me my allergy to cow milk has kept me dairy free for over 4 decades, and as time has gone by I am eating a more and more plant-based diet. Cooking from scratch, using the best ingredients I can afford, saves me money and my health. At nearly 70 my doctor is in awe of my health - still not on any medicines, just a few vitamins, mostly calcium to maintain my bones, and D because while Florida has plenty of sun, too much is a serious cancer risk.

In fact, I think its a good use to put to the waste of animals that people generally don't know what to do with.

    You could always hunt like a real hunter, like your African ancestors, with home made spears. These guys will even scare off a bunch of lions who are busy eating something they just killed, hack off part of the animal and walk off. Having a gun isn't really hunting anyway. It's just finding an animal and shooting it.

    I mean, normally I'd be against killing animals, but for this isn't a "killing for the funnsies" thing I don't think, it'll depend if you use everything and not hang up the head to a wall or something, that would be hunting for sport, which a lot of people are against, so if you want to hunt for survival, I'd just like to warn you to be careful what you do, if you don't want to be considered a crazy sport hunter, do what you gotta do though

    Having grown up in a very rural area I've patted the pigs, and cows that I later dined on. Seen animals carved up for meals too (wild game generally). Grandpa was a beekeeper and I'll tell you a big treat was to get fresh pieces honeycombs to chew on like some kind of natural wax lips type candy. Nothing like fresh bee vomit and spit to make a kid happy. Yes I knew what it was made from a young age. My dad had a habit of telling us "gross sounding things" to teach us about stuff like that. Actually kind of cool growing up like that if I'm being totally honest. Funniest trick he taught me was how to tell male and female pobsters apart. I miss him.

    This might amaze YOU! There is presently a guy sitting in a jail cell in Toronto, (Canada) who hasn't even got a bail hearing yet (arrested over 2 weeks ago) because no one knows if what he's done is a crime, or how extensive that "crime" is. See, a kid in England committed su*cide by swallowing pure sodium nitrite. His dad decided to find out where in the heck his son got the stuff. Yep, got it from the guy in the jail cell, who's been selling it online, and has shipped out about 1,500 packets of it. About 7 (so far) of his "customers" have committed su*cide (in Canada, Britain, Italy and the U.S.A.) He's already defending himself, saying "I've no idea what people want to do with what I sell, and it's not my responsibility to ask." and "This is a LEGAL substance, used extensively in the food and restaurant industry. It's not like I'm shipping cyanide." I'm thinking the end result here might be rethinking "Maybe this should somehow be more regulated, or labelled as potentially toxic and poisonous, or perhaps not used at all, as a food product?"

  • @jeffmech1

    @jeffmech1

    Жыл бұрын

    Why would you put su*cide in one place of your post, and suicide in another? Is there something wrong with that word? I have seen posts in emag articles and elsewhere that use the asterisk. Only asking as it makes no sense whatsoever. I don’t get it. Secondly, do you have a link to an article about the person selling the sodium nitrate? That would be interesting to read. This is the first time I have heard of that particular problem. Why does it potentially cause suicide? Thanks for listening.

  • @albigensiac3206

    @albigensiac3206

    Жыл бұрын

    @@jeffmech1 Hi Jeff, I've now got the asterix in both places the word is used. I missed the second time I used it. Personally, I think the use of things like an asterix is a bit dumb, because I don't think it disguises words at all, that some people find offensive. But it might confuse a bot, whose job is to look for offensive words. I know KZread is strict about a long list of words, and I didn't want to get this KZread creator in trouble. (Hopefully, they don't hold creators responsible for what is in the comments. But I'm just playing by the "being on the safe side" rule.) Secondly, I intentionally did not include the guy's name, or any news article links etc. because I figure anyone can type words into search boxes, such as "sodium nitrite crime Ontario, Canada" etc. if they are really interested. So far, in this province only, there have been 37 sodium nitrite deaths since 2019. And cops etc. are not sure if they are related to the guy in jail. So it's an ongoing investigation, and a part of me is thinking "presumption of innocence" and "an arrested person deserves a fair trial" etc. Bottom line though FOR ME, is why is this stuff in our bacon, ham and pepperoni pizza etc. if it is that toxic?

  • @albigensiac3206

    @albigensiac3206

    Жыл бұрын

    Also @Jeff Mech I should also note that sodium nitrite (NaNO2, for the scientifically inclined minds) does have valuable uses. It is put into antifreeze, because it is an effective engine corrosion inhibitor. And (puzzling to me) it is an antidote to cyanide poisoning, if it is injected directly into the victim's bloodstream, in an emergency room. So I wonder if it is only poisonous in the digestive system. Can't be toxic if inhaled, or we'd have "accidental deaths" in meat-processing plants etc. So, who knows how this story will end...

    I am frankly amazed you actually produced this, and aappreciate the huge risks you've taken. I almost have to ask, are you okay? No death-wishes or anything? Very brave of you sir. The only one that won't bother me is that of the bees. I love my raw honey and have been eating it for decades, and often joke about it as being bee-vomit. It only sounds bad to us because we typically associate vomit with things we either eat (candy, chicken nuggets, cereal, hot-dogs etc) and things dogs might eat, and subsequently bring back up, whereas what bees consume is probably the closest thing to divine heavenly manna, or better still, nectar of the gods, that the refining process their heavenly healing bodies add to it, is probably why it's the only food product known to mankind which never spoils. Ancient Egyptians have been known to preserve mummies in it for that very reason, and the honey is still edible to this day. Pharoah-infused of course, probably not one I'd eat myself, though I might be tempted to have a wee sip of any mead made from it.

    At least nothing is wasted. Stocks and broths are made the same way. Scraps and bones are boiled for a very long time then strained to get broth. In darker broths the bones are broiled or charred first, it smells so good. It also turns into a jelly when cooled since it has the collegen of the bones and other things in it. It why the left over egg drop soup from Chinese takeout is a jelly before reheating it.

    Water's not any better. You ever buy a jug and look at the source? Unless it's certified springwater, the source is usually "municipal water supply" - aka tap water in a jug. Very noticeable difference in taste, too, between springwater and the bilgewater that's been processed and then stored in plastic. Even if the water itself is fine, the plastic containers it's stored in are dubious at best.

    Another thing people don't know about monster is it contains ingredients that can send mentally ill people over the edge. My general manager and I both have bipolar disorder. My boss is addicted to monster. She is also cranky, crabby, and very mean. I think it's all that monster she drinks. As for me, I had bipolar when red bull first hit the scene. I worked cleaning bars and jager bombs were the big thing. Jager bombs are made from jagermeister liquor and red bull. I tried one after work one day and I liked it so much, I drank four or five more. I was so drunk, one of the regular customers took me to his place to sleep it off. But I couldn't sleep. I couldn't even sit still. Eventually I was able to settle down. I woke up the next morning with my head in his dirty laundry basket. Not good. It wasn't until after I was diagnosed and educated myself about my illness that I understood what had happened. The ginseng and other things energy drinks contain are no good for mentally ill people. They can also cancel out your medication rendering it useless for a while. My rule of thumb is if I'm not sure what's in it, I don't ingest it. No one likes waking up on the psyche ward.

    In my country Dominican Republic in few 9 days ago widespread contamination occurred in an elementary school due to a green banana crop in the nearby areas, they used a product called MOCAP as a dewormer for the plants, whose active ingredient is a cholinesterase inhibitor, what happened was that everyone The students and some teachers were affected since they began to have convulsions and epileptic attacks since the cholinesterase inhibitor works as a neurotoxin and of course, being a protein in low doses, it can treat Alzheimer's but if it exceeds the recommended limit or is inhaled it works as a neurotoxin, echoed the matter but the authorities have not given an answer to what happened and those responsible for the event were not punished.
