19:22 I live in the USA. Years ago, a friend brought back chocolate made in Switzerland that she said the Swiss government will not allow to be commercially exported. I had one of those and immediately lost ALL respect for Hershey. The comparison with genuine Swiss chocolate made Hershey bars taste like brown plastic.

Apparently there's not much chocolate (cacao) in Hershey's chocolate. It's around 10% while other chocolates are often 25-35% or higher. Swiss chocolate has more milk in it, giving it a nice flavor/texture. Ingredients do matter.

FUN FACT ~28:40 In the US NAVY, a Commander with 3 stripes who happens to be the Commanding Officer of a warship is called “Captain” regardless of not having Captain’s 4 stripes. This was done before significant refrigeration - apples in a very cool environment actually don't spoil quickly at all if covered over with wax. And as long as they are not bruised apples will keep on your kitchen counter even for a few weeks.

In the UK when I was a paramedic, a crew went to a maggot farm to attend a patient. They asked why so many maggots for fishing? And we're told that not all for fishing, a company with a big M along with other companies, used to add them to their products under added protein. Which is why when in the UK the law changed and all ingredients had to be on the label, all M places suddenly advertised the meal as 100% beef. So before then happy maggot eating

I live in South Africa and we're going into winter now, so they'll be harvesting apples soon. I noticed over December ( the middle of our summer) that most of the apples we were buying were brown in the middle. So I Googled it and learned that apples are actually considered a winter fruit. That's why most winter deserts consist of apple pie, and baked stewed fruits. Knowing that they freeze the fruit explains why they were brown in the center. Thanks for another great video!

We found that certain Persimmons can also be used to make pies, tasting very much like pumpkin pie. He also made grape jelly using Scuppernongs, a thick-skinned grape grown here in the Deep South. It comes out clear yellow, looks and tastes much like apple jelly. 😊

I grow carrots. It is quite common for a normal carrot to grow in an odd shape. How many crooked or three=root carrots have you seen in the grocery store? They only sell the "perfect" carrots in the store, but what a waste! What do they do with those not "normal" formed carrots? Those are the ones they cut down to make "baby-cut carrots". This way the farmers do not waste as many carrots by throwing out the ones that are not straight or look deformed. They simply sell them at a slightly lower cost to the factories that cut down those carrots, shave then into 2" round sticks and sell them as baby-cut carrots. This is why you never find them needing to be peeled. The outside of the carrots have already been cut away... and those trimmins/shavings are sold to animal food makers or to mulch producers. Nothing is left to waste.

To be fair to KRAFT. The product was developed for soldiers in WWII to give them a sense of having the luxury of cheese during war conditions. It did not need refrigeration.
