As far as the person sending a limp in the airport, as a disabled person, I find that absolutely disgusting. That is abuse of the system. And how dare you take advantage when someone offers a service for an actual need.

Why are disabled people entitled to priority service? Just because they can't walk easily doesn't make them VIPs. The need for assistance doesn't necessitate skipping the line and boarding ahead of everybody else. That's the soft bigotry of low expectations and the toxic compassion of virtue-signalling jerks all rolled into one. That system deserves to be abused for all it's worth.

I am on the other end of that. I've had people make requests that don't need it, then I have to send someone to assist someone who doesn't need while someone who does has to wait. I always feel bad when someone who needs it calls themselves a burden

I know most of you won't believe me, but in High School, me and four of my friends were in the same class and we had this important exam at the end of the year. We had the bright idea to learn actual morse code and use the clicking of our pens to communicate. We sat in a triangle and when one of us had a question e.g. 5.2, we would type it, but instead of relying on the sound and disturbing everyone else, we looked how long he held the button of the pen in, then released it slowly. For those who sat in front, we had to use the clicking sound. It was soft enough not to be too disturbing, but just loud enough to hear. We would split up the work and one would focus on one section, and once we were done with said section, we would move to the next person. My avg actually went up from 75% to 81%. Might be dumb luck, idk, but we used the exams in between to practice and identify our mistakes.

Agreed on both counts. I'm not bound to any assistive devices yet but likely will be within the decade. Even so, I was a nurse for many years and now work in a homeless shelter where we have shelter guests with either walkers or wheelchairs. I get rather irate when anyone, anywhere, parks in the disabled spots when they aren't disabled. It always incites me to desire their vehicle be ticketed and towed though, honestly, I'd also like to let the air out of their tyres whilst they're away. It's enraging how people who are not disabled abuse the disabled one way or another.

  • @changsterville

While I agree that faking a disability is wrong. A person with a disability should not just skip to the front of the line. You want to be treated as equal right? Or does that not pertain anymore if it’s an advantage.

@changsterville good question 😊 I've not flown myself but in other situations it's more about the access itself. It can take a Long time to get settled in, there may not be room to turn the chair once others are around. You might need to get equipment set up (breathing apparatus support, right angle to avoid damage, drainage tubes, pain management, etc). Often at places we're left til the last due to access or moaned at for holding up a queue 😔 I've been shopping and had someone actually Push me out of her way when I was right up to the wall looking at what I wanted too, another lady in a really crowded place I was desperately trying to get out of but Noone would let me through, Stepped right over my knee and sort of climbed over me! We're often not seen, noticed or heard, it's quite scary sometimes and not something I ever thought I'd experience when I was younger 😕

The only loop hole that i exploted anywhere close to this level, was in high school. The dress code in the rule book explicitly said that tank tops were forbidden but then also made an exception as long as the shirt straps were atleast 2 finger tips wide. Being in the south, spring can get pretty hot pretty quick. So girls would start wearing these tops and the boys were getting upset that these girls were wearing tank tops but we couldn't. Than it hit me, why couldn't we? So i got my hand book, highlighted the 2 finger tip rule and kept it in my back pocket, then put on just a normal tank top and went to school. When ever i was stopped i would pull out the hand book, open it up and hold it out to the highlighted page and with my other hand hold 2 fingers to my sholder showing it was more than 2 finger tips wide. And i got away with it.

Similar to having someone parking in a handicap parking spot with the driver just sitting there or younger folks using grandmas placard with grandma still at the house then in my instance I have to park in a regular spot, get my Walker and o2 tank out of the back seat to take care of my business and come back to find someone now parked on or extremely close to the line- requiring me to pull my vehicle forward and then putting the Walker etc back in my car My summation please be observant and respectful of others you don't own everything you see we aren't looking for special treatment or privileges just some common courtesy Thanks for reading my rant I will climb back in my whole and disappear

I think it's brilliant and no less legitimate than any of the established religions. The US is just riddled with whiney and uptight hypocritical snots who want to boast righteousness and freedom of religion without considering the full implications of what that actually means. • @Sciguy95

    @Sciguy95

@@Savagemedic46 no, the point is that religious people and organizations tend to be given ridiculous amounts of freedom and legal loopholes that get denied to everybody else simply because they say they believe something, regardless of the reality of what they say they believe. For example, religious institutions are automatically treated as charities and given a tax exempt status without having to demonstrate any sort of actual charity work while everybody else has to go out of their way to prove they actually provided said charity. This leads to many accounts of church leaders obviously abusing this ridiculous law with no consequences, such as when they purchase private jets for themselves. The pastafarians aren't trying to mock other religions, they are mocking the laws that show favoritism to religious people by giving them rights that nobody else has. Laws should be equally applicable to everyone regardless of their personal beliefs.

Me and my highschool friend snuck into our school formal (dance/prom) being hosted at a hotel. As the ball committee were entering the facility before opening we quickly ran up to the next floor and took the elevator down. The doors opened just as they were passing and we joined the back line as if we were part of the committee. As soon as we were in the event hall we made our way to the lavatories and hid in the cubicles until the rest of the students arrived. Then we simply emerged James Bond style dressed in tuxedos and joined the party. If it wasn't for the copius amounts of alcohol we smuggled in and subsequently consumed we would have never been discovered. But alas it was not to be. At least the deputy principal saw the funny side as we explained how we bypassed security whilst being ejected from the facilities. Great night 10 out of 10.

I got in trouble for it, too. I learnt to keep notes on what I wanted to discuss with my mates during class to bring them up outside of class. The most trouble I ever got in was reading an adult romance novel in class (not talking but possessing unacceptable material) which was confiscated very publicly by my literature teacher. The other time, same year, was for talking then for shooting an elastic at a friend (in fun, of course). It was Spanish class and my teacher, who was French, said loudly "Francesca! (My name in class) First you are talking then you are shooting rubbers!" The class erupted in laughter because it brought up an image of someone shooting a pair of overshoes with a shotgun. No, I never got past my teachers on anything so had to become proper about everything.

I have a mobility impairment and need help getting around the airport. People think that the electric carts are cool and a quick way to get to your gate. Getting through security quickly is awesome. What they don't realize is that not everyone has the ability to stand in line. They need to be grateful to be able-bodied. Also when they cheat they are making things worse for those who really need the extra help. It can make people late to their flight or miss it all together because of staffing issues. It can also delay a flight while they wait for a wheelchair to take the person onto the plane. When that happens, there's no overhead space for luggage left. In addition, the people with disabilities are forced to have to sit in seats that exacerbate their disability. It's just plain bad karma and mean to pretend that you're disabled so that you can take advantage of the "special treatment" that is given to people with disabilities. Who knows? Maybe a semi with your name on it will strike you down and leave you disabled or you come back in a next life as someone with chronic leg pain. I would use stronger language than the narrator and say that what that gal did was morally reprehensible.

3:42 There is this ice cream place near where I live called Nelson's. The cups that they put the ice cream in are already larger than most. Additionally, they have ice cream that is very sturdy, meaning that they can stack ice cream very tall, and they do. You get twice as much ice cream than the amount of space in the cup. Because of this, their "kids" size is a bit difficult for an ADULT to finish. Their largest size, the lumberjack size, is basically a mountain of ice cream.

alcohol in ball games: When I go golfing, they don't allow any beverages on the course. I bought a pair of binoculars, called, "BAR-NOCULARS" and the eye piece comes off of each side and you can pit about a pint of booze in each. My brother-in-law has an extra 9 iron that when you turn the business end of the club, it pulls up and pumps beer up from a mini keg from the bottom of the golfclub bag. So, he drinks his beer and I put whiskey in one side and Coca-Cola in the other and have whiskey and cokes while we play. :D

Loop hole. My hometown town. Last year. I parked right up to the bumper on the family pickup so there was plenty of space between my back bumper and the street, which is THE emergency route to the hospital, technically you can park on the street but if you park on the street on the side i happened to live on, you would get a knock and asked to move the car because its not wide enough to park on both sides. Well the chief of police informed me that I can't block the sidewalk even if I was trying to be a good citizen, it is a city thoroughfare. So I apologized and got in and backed up just enough for the school kids to fit easy, almost to the street gutter but like an inch to spare, got out and since he was still eyeballing me, I gestured "like this", and he frowned but nodded that was within legal parking statutes for my home town. There might be a reason he watched what I was doing and frowned when I had him confirm that I was now legally parked. Im not a trouble maker, per see.. but if the police seem to be too worried about what I am doing, i make it worth their time. The are busy and do a dangerous job. But... The reason he frowned and watched is.... The worst thing to tell me is the rules. Especially if there's more important things to do, or that they seem to like seeing what I am up to when I am minding my own business and not causing trouble. Because when they Tell me the rules, i have them explain in exact detail what the rules are, so i can comply fully. Because I don't want them to come back and write a ticket. One officer told me that the fridge in the driveway, a school kid could climb in it and suffocate or something, it was dangerous. I explained i was going to scrap it but until then I would fix the problem. AS HE WAS BACKING OUT of the driveway, it simply turned it around and faced the door against the house. I don't think a school kid could suffocate if door can't be opened. So the parking statute says sidewalk has to be open to pedestrians, and you can't have any of your car past curb in the gutter. 6 months later i got a tiny ford Escort. And i parked sideways in my driveway right up to the curb. Facing the traffic from the school, but legally parked. In fact the sidewalk had room for 3kids wide. The police drove by, shook their heads, and kept going. The other residents of my home town were not impressed lol. So I left it like that for the day

I found a awesome loophole and used it for two years during college. The Niagara region had started a new transportation system and you could get a ride from your house to almost anywhere in Niagara region for $6 CAD a as bad pay on the app. They also had use a transfer as a payment option in case you were getting off the bus. I set my payment to transfer and they never asked to see the transfer. So I got from home to Niagara College (40 minute drive) for free for 2 years

10:22 If you want to release a winged insect without killing it, just spray it with water. It dampens their wings, they fall on the floor, you can just pick 'em up and pop them on a ledge outside the window. Use a glass for stinging insects, obviously! Then make sure you put your fly screens back on any open windows or doors, and you're all set. :D

So I simply opted to team up with a computer player (CPU) There is disadvantages especially involving coordination but I can play doubles without the awkwardness of trying to find a teammate. The best part is 2 T.Os actually allow this!

When I graduated Nursing school here in Quebec, the exam to be registered had changed recently from multiple choice questions to a written question part and something they called OSCES which consisted of walking into a simulated medical situation where an actor played the patient and two examiners judging how we dealt with whatever situations we were presented with. In FRENCH. I’m bilingual but I have terrible anxiety and knew if I did this exam, there was a chance I wouldn’t pass, even though I graduated with honours. At the time, there was a loophole. You could apply to do the exam in Ontario, still multiple choice, and once passed, and registered in Ontario, you could ask for reciprocity in Quebec and get registered without doing the OSCES. I did just that and had two licenses, valid in two provinces. They changed the rule the next year.
