YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE PUBLIC ROAD, OR YOU'LL BE ARRESTED!!!! - Tata Port Talbot Steelworks

What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at Tata Steel, Port Talbot Steelworks. Only came down to cover a story on the closure of the blast furnaces really, and end up with the police threatening to arrest me, I do have work outside of auditing, and did not want an arrest to interfere with it, which is why I used the duress card. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Went down to that road this afternoon, took some pics and vids, the street lights on the road down to the turning to ABP are all numbered, NPTC, 1 to 6, Publicly maintained, Stopped at the junction, started to take some videos of the Blast Furnaces, Security came rushing out of his little wendy house waving his arms like a demented tart, he got short shrift and told to do one, went down to the gate house to the security hut at ABP, but not manned, I need info on getting onto ABP to take the drone over, went back to the maintained road, security van came but stayed in the lane, wasnt till I saw the other lamp post on opposite side had a NPTC highways sign on it and went over to take a pic did he come over to me, nice chap, no problems with me, spoke curtious to me, he had seen the video, think they now know that that part is not controlled by TATA, all he asked was I didnt go any further towards the security hut, which I dont need too, couldnt get the drone up to video the blast furnaces as its too windy, again, your video has certainly has been seen by them, I did mention the Sgt who got it all wrong and the dreadfull Bovine who shouted her mouth off, he didnt want to comment lol.

The streetlights on that road are the same as on the roundabout, so these streetlights belong to the council. The council doesn't install streetlight on private property.

get a printout from the council with covering letter & go back there. Take photo copies of this & when police come & threaten you with arrest, show police the council letter & map & if they arrest you after proving you are on public land, then police will have to pay significant compensation to you

Great video TGA 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐ Based on no pavement or road asphalt transition joints, the crosswalk positioned past the T intersection on right and Tata sign past the intersection on left, it reasonable to believe the public right of way and access continues to the crosswalk. The property line is at the lamp post before the intersection but there is no signage or indicators of the private property line shown on Land Registry. If the Council adopted road does end before the T intersection, the property owner should provide notification to the public at the line. If the Council adopted road continues through the T intersections, they were liars. Wonder what road construction drawings and plats show for the extent of public right of way. Checking the footpath map site based on definitive maps, it shows the public right of way continuous to each gate which makes it appear the Council maintained road continuous to the gates. >>> More than reasonable for the public to believe the Council adopted road continues to the crosswalk and Tata sign as in many cases.

It’s confirmed by Neath Port Talbot council now anyway, so I’ll be going back. Sadly, didn’t get the call back till I’d already left. If I’d had the call then and there from NPT Council, I’d have been straight back up there. So big respect to the council. I’m going live there when I go back, so it’ll all be on live

Also noticed on the google aerial, the storm drains on the opposite side of the road continue to the main gate, further indicating the Council likely maintains the road up to the main gate and the crosswalk on the side road, past the T intersection.

@@TheGwentAuditorTGA Thank You for the update the Council confirmed they did adopt the 'Access Road Off Harbour Way.' The location is good example that Land Registry does not indicate status of adopted roads. This is easy to see on newer industrial estate access roads and roundabouts. Appears Turdturd Steel, oops Tata, simply look at the property line like Land Registry and blatantly ignore the Council road adoption and public access. Looking forward to your return visit to the Council adopted Access Road off Harbour Way.

You should be able to determine absolutely where the boundary is. Find the public area and stay there. She clearly told everyone how well she’d done by getting the police to remove you. It’s hard to see what good you’ve done there. Start and end at the same place and your story becomes so powerful.
