@@All_Hail_Chael I think you may have had other interests and stopped watching his content for a while. That's when the recommendation shifted to the other new contents that you've been viewing (the rabbit hole) and this channel stop being recommended. Only when you started seeing his videos again that KZread knows that you're still interested in the content and putting them back in the recommended list. If you really like this channel's content and want to keep viewing, make sure to put the bell notification to all and check the bell every day and don't let it stack up. I believe some time ago, KZread changed the notification scheme and notification stopped until you renew it. Might want to recheck that if you're already did turn it on before.

No need to thank us when you're the true MvP here. We enjoy your stuff and we're more than happy to support you as best we can. Keep it up legend.

It's odd. I'm apparently an outlier, I've NEVER looked at recommendations and go straight to my subscriptions. And I don't assume there's nothing new there, I check my top channels (including this one) daily or every other day, to see if there's something new. Waiting for KZread to spoon-feed you stuff and not even checking to see if there's anything, or looking through the back catalog of your favorite channels, seems so weird and ... passive.

Now If I could only combine my old homes forge with my current homes hammers and anvil I will I start working 4-10 days so maybe I'll get around to it this summer. I guess the easiest things active subscribers can do to help is don't rely on the recommended feed, but manually check your subscription feed every so often. I know Shad said something like that towards the end, but it bears repeating.

Shad took a lot of shade posting that vid. It was a brave move, glad it worked. One content producer accuses Shad of panhandling, as he is doing a live stream reading Superchats, and agreeing with Shads findings. I keep thinking Shad should do live streams, but considering the time zone he'd probably need to do it in Chinese ☹.

You should see the original video that started this off 😂 Shad, for his faults, is as genuine a 'tuber as you'll find. "He may be a fool, but he's an honest fool." It is not possible to say that about most of the "swordtubers".

Your video was the trigger for me to reform my viewing habits. I permanently closed my watch history, and only watch videos from my subscriptions tab (I also subscribed to Shadiversity and the Shadlands). By mentioning this, you have not only helped your channel, but the other channels I like to watch, and have helped me to watch less KZread.

Thank you for the wonderful content. Love you guys so much. U get me through many a long nights.

One thing I've noticed is that KZread rarely recommends video that I haven't watched. I didn't know about about any upload from this channel since mid January unless I've manually went on the channel page. But I have been recommended hundreds of Shadiversity videos I have seen.

I can safely say that this is happening to most content creators on the platform. Maybe not all, but most. Since January my impressions dropped significantly (most videos reached 3+ million impressions, and now they cant even reach 700K) but my like to view ratio, comments, CTR and VIEWER RETENTION all skyrocketed. So, with that in mind, the videos should be shown to more people, but they are not. So yeah, KZread changed something. But well, it is what it is. Stay strong my friend.

Shadiversity you are hands down one of the best medieval KZreadrs in my eyes. I love how you go into medieval weaponry and not only explain practicality but also uncover the history behind it as well. You have such a great talent and I hope that the future for you is bright! 😄

Being here after your first big video (the lotr one 7 yrs ago) there is one thing i know for certain. You have deep love for what you do and the tenacity to follow it through the hurdles. This is but a hiccup you will pull through eventually.

It was absolutely worth the effort of manually checking each channel every day, the recommendations finally started coming through on time again

Rock on Shad, yours is one of the few channels I go to for pure escapism. None of the doom and gloom socio-political stuff I'm usually listening to. So good to hear things are hopefully stabilizing

I've gotten quite a few comments on my channel of people saying things like "why did KZread show me this? I hate this type of content!" etc, etc. But at the same time, some of my most dedicated subscribers have told me they only found my content because KZread randomly recommended it. Granted, I'm nowhere near the size of Shadiversity (around 550 subs as of writing this) so take this for whatever it's worth, but what Shad's saying still rings very true for me.

The dumbest thing there is, cause they posted a comment on your video... the algorithm counts that as engagement, so they are going to get more recommendations for that content. Hahaha That is how the rabbit hole becomes a sink hole

Use the push-pull method. Push away CNN and similar ilk by clicking “…” and chose “Do not recommend channel”. The pull-method is subscribing to channels you like. If more people use this method, it’ll be clear to the algorithm what people want to see.

Even though I have subscribed and supported you for a while now. I haven't seen Shadiversity recommended to me for months now. Keep up the good work. I really like the Castle videos.

Im happy things are working out for you shad, you bring a good and positive vibes to the community that i like and this video proved something i suspected but didnt know to much about. So im not delusional after all, im a small gaming channel i just got into KZread march last year, i noticed in December i was growing well with at lest on sub per day, but the constant streaming and uploading was burning me out so coming into.new year i took a break, from January to now ive probably grown by a hundred subs and my video are not doing to great, i realised it started in January but couldn't put my finger on it at all i was wondering why.
