Rev. Ed, I’m estranged from the Catholic Church and I’m grieving that. Your videos keep me connected to my faith. Me and God are okay but me and the Catholic Church - not so much. Right now you’re essential to me because you keep me connected to a faith community. Thank you.

Same here. I am born baptized and confirmed Roman Catholic. I am proud of the progress my mother church is making, but it still has so far to go. I am also able to keep my faith alive thanks to Reverend Trevors. God bless you ♥️

I read a story somewhere. A King had 3 daughters. One day, he asked his daughters to tell him how much they loved him. The eldest thought for a moment and said, " I love you more than gold." The king was pleased by this. The middle daughter said, " I love you more than silver." The king was pleased again. The youngest daughter thought for a longer moment and said, " I love you more than salt." The king was very displeased by her answer and sent her to her room. The youngest daughter had to pass by the kitchen on her way to her room. She stopped in to see the cook and ordered the cook not to use any salt in her cooking for a week. The king was displeased by the food he had to eat for a week and summoned the cook to explain. The cook said, " your youngest daughter ordered me not to use any salt in your food this week. The king sent for his youngest daughter. As she entered the room, he ran up to her and gave her a hug and a big smile and said, " You love me most of all. Rev Ed your talk about salt brought this story to my mind.

There's 3 distinctive types of people... Wolves, sheep, and sheep dogs. The wolves will always tell the sheep, that the sheep dogs will eat them. The wolves are smart, they want the sheep dog chained up. So they can feed in leisure.

Interesting thoughts, Rev. Ed. They will take some thinking-on. "The salt of the earth" doesn't sound all that important--at least not today, when salt is easily found, distributed just about everywhere--but, without it, we cannot live. We don't crave it, the way a thirsty person craves water; but, if the level of sodium in our bodies falls too low, we will die. Wild animals travel many miles to find a salt lick. They know, instinctively, that it is essential to them. Perhaps that is the way we should regard each other--as an essential part of our lives.

Revered Ed, I always look forward to your channel. I read or heard something that I like to meditate on and while it may not be biblical in nature; it goes like this. Each person is like a wave 🌊 in a small pond of water, now toss in a small pebble to create a ripple and see how that ripple spreads out. Then, take a rock and toss it into that same pond, notice how you’ve now created waves larger than a ripple; each of us affects the other and we’re all linked together in life ! Maybe 🤔 it’s more Zen , but I find it useful. You never know the effect you have on other people; nor who’s watching you, maybe waiting to approach you to ask a question 🙋 about what sustains you in difficult and trying times ? Is it easy being the “ Salt of The Earth 🌍 “ people ; definitely not , but the rewards at the end of life and eternity are worth it !

There is an old statement that I like very much, "God sends us nothing but angels", which fits in with what you are saying (but not so grandly stated). Nonetheless, I understand and agree with what you said. I have heard very few proclaim what you did in todays video, and it is refreshing to hear and experience once again. So essential! Many thanks.

Given the nature of God and his goodness, I tend to agree that creation was essential because of his nature. If by essential, you mean that God made us who, where, and when we are, I agree. It’s exciting to think that we have chances to make God smile by how we live. Is that salt?

Wrote this on Saturday's CWW: One premise regarding "essential." >> Each soul comes to this life with a unique mission assigned by G-D, and unique talents and gifts to accomplish that mission. The "rub" is that none of us knows what that is, and the vast majority go through life without ever finding out. One key reason it eludes us is that we tend to take our unique gifts for granted -- thinking that if it is easy for me, it must be easy for others too. It does take some time and a genuine relationship to become more aware of others' gifts -- but it's through their unique, G-D-given gifts that they can realize their mission, which is what makes them so essential, valued and needed. If enough people start to understand this, and accept it, it becomes a part of our mission to help others, as they help us to become aware too.

Listening to you today (as I exercise) several things occurred to me. I listen to you because you teach Jesus’s teachings. And then I contemplated and old thought - that we would know know about Jesus were it not for Paul. And then: yes, Paul, but we would not have known that Jesus was a teacher and healer, not just a human sacrifice, were it not for Mark, who then laid the foundation for Matthew and Luke. So, thank you for teaching us Jesus

Saying that someone’s life is “lessened” without me in it implies that I’ve got a big ego, in my opinion. Their life will be different and they may find elements that I bring in other folks. Maybe those folks bring even better things than I do. But the person’s life will be different.

When you said Cool Breeze, you put this in my head. So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell? Blue skies from pain? Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I do think your words are beautiful but to be honest, I couldn't help thinking about all the damage that people do to our environment/ to God's creation. Some of it we do on a daily basis, just by the way most modern people live. So in that sense, it doesn't feel like we are essential as humans for life on Earth to me. I think what is essential is, that we realize this, that we realize we are part of this creation and have a responsibility (which you did mention)- not only to be good to others and to show love and compassion to others, like Jesus did, but also to try to live in a more eco friendly way to protect God's beautiful creation and the world we live in. At least those are my thoughts.

So, for me personally, what helps me more is the thought that I can make a difference, that I have a voice, that I'm valuable. Maybe I am essential in the whole picture of change, a small part of something bigger.

I made a pretty poster, with jewelry, fake flowers, buttons and little things…I framed the thin foam poster with them. I covered the thin foam sheet, with paper and glue, painted it white and then glued all my little items, to create a frame. It was beautiful! I even used tiny toys from thrift stores! 😂 The, when I finished it, every morning I would write a little note with one thing, feeling, what ever I was grateful for. One simple word…and pinned it to the board..I used the page sticky tabs, but needed to pin them up! I promise it will astonish you within a week or two….blessings. You can trust that you are exactly where you are supposed to be, now. Self forgiveness and acceptance is so painful, sometimes…but Know that soon, confidence, joy, health and awe will reign over you! All my love to. You! 💕🕊🙏

Depression is so cruel to lie to you, like that. Despite not feeling your value, it is there. Despite not feeling as though you matter, you do. Despite depression filling you with such deep sadness that you just want it to stop, there is joy in your future. I have spoken with so many people who were grateful they did not end their life, to escape the pain of their depression. You are precious. You matter. Depression is a bully that is lying to you.
