you know what I have prepared for whole month for this test and i have given my test with my 100 percent and with total genuinity, for that you know i have been banned from the duolingo for violating the rules, actually i didn't broke any of them , i have asked them to provide the video and source from where you have decided that I have been receiving some sort of assistance, their reply was it's our ethical issue we cna't provide you the video. This exam is whole scam of taking you money and banning you from this platform. i think you know one day the person who have declared me from taking test will face karma and i beleive in it.

The exact same thing happened to me as well and I requested a video clip of where they considered me taken any assistance and they told me that they aren't obligated to show any evidence and my exam test has at least already checked by 2 human protors. I paid for 2 exam fees and I automatically lost for remaining test since I got banned and there was no refund.

Hello ma’am I need help as my test got invalidated and my account blocked due to text correction software being run at the background. When DET test asked me to close all programs I did ask for time and correctly disabled the software unfortunately as my computer sometimes downloads a software twice due to internet lag I didn’t realise I had two text correction tools being installed. When the test started I realised it when I was about to write the answer to a question text form although I panicked I couldn’t leave the test. The computer sometimes malfunctions. I really need to take the test and need another chance. This is not my mistake. Since this video speaks of the same, it may seem I am cheated it was not the case and without another chance my account is blocked Can you please help me

Yes, it will. I just had this happen to me; their exam desktop app prompted Chrome to open to validate my log in credentials. They then accused me of having other software open... It's really ridiculous.

I was given a second time the test invalidity. How Duolingo can declare that I was out of focus on screen whereas I was intentionally looking at the camera of the laptop unless it was time for writing. I'm a bit frustrated and filed an appeal. I can't wait for 4 days for my urgency. If I buy another test, I fear invalidity again. What should I do? It's for certain that Duolingo again says my test is invalid. Duolingo should improve this parameter.

Same problem. Account should be checked at ID card verification step with according warning, but not after test is finished. When logging in to the account, I have no way of knowing if I have already taken this test from another account ever before.

I accidentally made a mistake and I am really worried of it. During one of my movements the cursor went out of the text window for a while. It was totally unwanted. Could this invalidate my test. I am really worried. Please help Caroline!

I was really looking forward to this test. I got an email today saying my test is invalid because "you looked away for an extended period of time". Now, the whole time I was literally glued to the screen, how could Duolingo say I was not? This is not fair. Mam I purchased this test because I want urgent result but after waiting for two days I got an email from DET that test couldn't be certified as you see outside of screen. Intact I attempt this test with full focus and see in the screen continuously for entire test. Reattempt the test and pay more attention and focus but got same response. Now universities deadlines are going to close and I did not even get my results. DET asked to purchase again for attempt it again. I am afraid If I reattempt they would probably uncertify result.

I presented the test last Friday, I noticed that at the beginning of the test it showed that my camera was working perfectly fine and when I started the test I noticed that my camera looked like it was turned off. I want to understand if this is an issue with my camera (I don't think is the case) or maybe is the app. I think it is unfair to receive an email saying that I do not have a certification for something that is a technical issue and is not my fault. I took the test and got banned with the reason that I didn't do. I tried to explain properly and proves but the team didn't accept that. I can accept ban for a limited amount of time but I don't get the point of permenantly banned? Some students take this test for their financial problems and I want the duolingo team can consider this fact. I wish they can understand the test takers' problems and difficulities and the efforts to take this exam. All they know is to ban or uncertify and not properly read the appeal form and take the fees and give the stress to the students. I really disappointed of this team and they are also world approved? I think they don't have the chance to get recognize. If anybody read this, I totally recommend you to try the other tests since this test only give you stress and sh*t.

If your results got invalidated because you were “reading your responses” from somewhere or “didn’t look at the screen” for too long. Keep the following things in mind. I got my results invalidated twice. These are the things I did to get the valid result, the third time. 1. Take the test at night, so it is all quiet. 2. Keep your laptop at your arms’ length, so they can see more of the background. I was literally fully stretching my arms to write but the first two times I had the laptop near, my results were invalidated. Also, if you keep the laptop at arms length, the camera doesn't pick every slight eye movement and there are less chances of your results getting invalidated 3.Make sure that the camera is exactly at the level of your eyes and you are in the center of the frame. Use a scale to check that the camera is exactly at your eye level. Put something under your laptop if the camera is not the eyes’ level. 4. Also, I sat with a window in the background, so they could see all the reflection in the back and make sure there was no one around. You can keep a mirror in the back as well. 5. MOST IMPORTANT: close your eyes during the speaking sections or whenever you are not doing a task on screen. Just close your eyes, and speak so they know nobody is helping you out in any which way. whenever I had to take a break (after I was done with a question and there was still time left) and during the speaking sections, I closed my eyes. 6. You don’t have to look at the camera at all, only at screen. 7. Make a new login account on your computer, only for the test and use the app to take the test. So, there is nothing running in the background.

The reason for uncertified test was that I was using writing materials and my responses during my speaking section was prepared. I don't understand how could this happens when I don't used any kind of writing materials in my test. I complaints to chat bot of Duolingo they say that the proctor found out I was using writing materials when I never ever use a single writing material during the test.

Reasons, security and rules are all bullshit. Whoever did this to me unfairly with ill intentions will face the karma. I did follow all their instructions and I got banned because they believed that I was taken assistance in the written section. I paid for 2 exam test fees and since I got banned, I lost the remaining test as well without any refund. Curse you all.
