Can anyone help explain why total score is presented without any raise: Test date: January 7th total score 125= Literacy130, comprehension 120, conversation 115, production 115 Test date: January 9th total score 125(No change!)= literacy125(-5), comprehension 135(+15), conversation 130(+15), production120(+5)

I worte my duolingo for the first time in my laptop and i got a certified result and i didn't get the score which i want so, i purchased again and wrote after a month practice in a computer of my friend. I wrote it for three times and I didn't get my results. Every time they only tell that our superior could not conform that you have completed written section independently. I did not break any rules or policies of the test they have given me free for the 3 attempts but they are telling me to repurchase the test to take. My experience was bad after getting the invalid results continuously.

I made a huge mistake didn't disable grammerly so I might get uncertified

Does the amount of listening to the audios influence the score? Does wrong answers take away a score? What if I dont know the word, shall I guess or leave it empty?

Wrong answers have no impact. If you don't know a word, you can tell by the structure that it's wrong. Normally, you shouldn't select. If you're 60/40 sure then you can select but not more than 1/2.

Can we use hands free

The previous scoring was fairer than now! 115 was equal to 6.5 Ielts, but now it is equal to 6 Ielts.

Hi my name is Joseph, i have been practicing alot lately and to be honest i fear that my “estimated scores” are sugarcoated and my real scores would be lower, I am afraid of getting a grade below 105 since most universities has that grade set as a requirement, I have been practicing for a week and my grade estimates go from 100-140 all the way to 115-145, sometimes a mix of the two, Do these estimated scores have some sort of relevancy to the actual test or should i just not care about them?

Hey Joseph! The practice test score ranges are definitely an estimate, so I would say don't focus on them too much. However, if yours have consistently been in the same range, they can be a predictor of your performance. Judging by this comment, your English is great--I'm sure you'll do well on the test!

@@DuolingoEnglishTest thank you, i have taken the test yesterday and to be quite frank with you i was nervous and it shows, sometimes id stutter, sometimes i didnt finish a few questions because of how nervous i was, i suggest Duolingo gives test takers more time in order to get more accurate results on how well does the test taker speak english, the DET was nerve wrecking to be completely honest

@@bikalsilwal5534 well brother i retook the test, was not certified but eh it happens, i basically got around the same grades as my estimations on the demo exam, as i said my scores could range from 100-145, and i got exactly a score between it, just please do not look away from the screen, do not move the screen, do not plug in a keyboard, or mouse, and you will be good to go

I have taken the test and got a score of 130. If I take another test what will happen to my previous score? If I purchase the bundle test, do I need to attempt the test both the time or I can stop if I am satisfied by the first result?

Hi! Congratulations on your results! 👏If you choose to take another test, you will be able to choose which test results you want to send to your universities. Also, if you purchase the bundle and you are satisfied with the first result, you are not required to take the second test. However, you won't be refunded for the second one and you can't pass the credit along to someone else.

You can look at the keyboard and type , but makes sure you don’t keep long but always focus on the screen after that

The practice test is a great resource to learn about the questions you'll encounter on the real test! It will also give you an approximate score range based off your performance, but this range should be considered an estimate. The practice test is shorter (about 1/4 the time of the real test), so there's not as much content to evaluate and it isn't scored as thoroughly as the certified test.

My results not getting higher, I attempted 4 times as my practice test was higher. Disappointed
