Seriously!!!, 4 minutes to answer 6 questions with 6 options?! And only 75 seconds to summarize the conversation with all those details! Hats off to you guys for creating such a brain-draining question!! Is the question designer mentally stable? It seems like you're more interested in finding a skilled typist than assessing people's language proficiency!

The time for summary is very short, as most of test takers don't have your speed of typing. As the conversation length can be different regarding on the topic, the summarizing time should be different too.

Hello and thank you for the explanation of the new Interactive Listening question. I think it's a great test type and way better than the Listen & Select type as the latter was a bit more confusing at times.

Hey, this is really a better task than the listening and selecting one. But i think the time for summarizing the task is a bit less as it takes time to write down the summary of the task. At least everyone needs a few seconds if not more to summarize in their mind and then start writing it. Hope you consider about the changes in the time for the summary part in this task.

I am an introvert so it was very difficult to get the right choice of response. Also what happens when we get the responses wrong ? How much does it affect our subscores ? Also, not everyone is a typing ninja, so it is very difficult to write the summary as fast as we'd like.

The Listen and select is really bit confusing, because every country pronounces it's English in a different way , when I heard the word 'election', it feels like it is sounding alection, and I am having a doubt whether to select it or not. And reading passage is difficult, every country uses the words in a different way.

I had this part and sorry, but this is type of activity. There are multiple good answers, because it is conversation and everyone of us is different kind of person that would answer differently. I would focus on the facts, but this activity is focused on some kind of understanding the relationship, which every student and i would say every country and culture has very different.

Hi thanks for the great sessions, I am a newcomer in Canada and would like to attend Seneca College under the Canadian Mature Students category. I entered all the information including my postal code, credit card, etc to pay for the test but the system asked me to apply coupon code which I do not have, any advice on this? the other question is I am a Permanent Resident of Canada can't I pay by Canadian $?

It is against the rules for test takers to take notes during the test! This rule helps us keep the test secure and helps test takers stay focused. When I do Interactive Listening questions, I find that the details are still very fresh in my mind for the summary task. Thank you for the explanation, but in the summary part I suggest if it can be 1minute 30 seconds it will be good. There are fast and slow learners that need to be look into as well. My humble opinion

Hello, I was doing the practice test and I was able to hear all other audio files. However, when it came to this part of the test, the audio was not playing. Why is that?

Why this test is not available for mobile users??

Hello Duolingo team, I'm short sighted and photo sensitive, so I wear anti-glare glasses. They could disqualify my language tests, but not wearing them means I have to squint and move too close to the screen, which could also disqualify me. Can we find a solution? Thank you.

It's accepted by Canadian universities. You also need an acceptable academic qualification. Once you apply with these and get your letter of admission, you would have to show that you're capable of handling the finances. If your records are clear, you would get your visa.

Thanks for the feedback! The timing of each question is intentional, and sometimes test questions are challenging. Just do the best you can in the time provided, and remember that you get partial credit even if you don't get the question 100% correct!

I am in trouble i gave the DET test so many times but each time the issue occurred, last time on 16/01/24 i had given a test again and today I received a mail that you are not eligible to get your certificate because you broke 1 test rule while giving the speaking section using the written material during the test but i didn't use. Topic was likely the same which i have already know because i had given so many practice sets thats why i remember some points and used that lines in the speaking test. I already paid the seat blocking fees in the university and only one condition is required to clear to get unconditional offer letter. Please look into it. Last date is very soon to submit the certificate, with in 2-3 days. And please! please! Give a this favour. I hope you will pay attention to this thing and give reply.
